    Since so many of you drew a comparison to Orwo Wolfen NC500, I reached out to Lomography for an official statement. This is what I received:
    „It is always quite interesting and entertaining to see all the theories brewing between film photography enthusiasts! We cannot give out any details for obvious reasons, but I can confirm that we developed and produced this new film for Lomography, it is not based on cine or motion picture film nor expired film stock.“

    • @Nijensikkens
      @Nijensikkens Рік тому +4

      Interesting response, could be that Lomography has their own deal with Inoviscoat in Germany, since it's the only company in Europe making color film. That's the company that actually makes orwo NC400/500 film and probably metropolis film.

    Small detail, but I love how the girl in the photo at 9:23 acknowledged you were taking a picture and responded well to it by making the V sign. New Yorkers are certainly more accustomed to street photography than people in other places I've been to. It's always nice that people are cool about getting photographed. Oh, and being on a photowalk with Marc - man, what a privilege. He's an amazing guy. Cheers! //Rick

    Great Video Max, fun to see this new film on the horizon and a fun experience watching you and Marc try it out in a new way as usual :) Looked like you guys had fun! cant wait to try the new stock out, too bad they are so late to get everything here in Sweden, still hardly been able to get the Lomo Turquoise in stores here after they relaunched that one. Have a good summer and happy shooting :) Still enjoying shooting with the Olympus OM-4 Ti and the lenses you recommended a while back for it.

    Nice video and nice film. Really looks like old Japanese or Chinese movies being pretty cold. Makes for an interesting look. With color film prices going up new one is always a welcome addition. I still have few rolls or Ektar and Superia Xtra so I abstain for now, I do not want to freeze my money in film ;) but I will consider it when time comes to refill my stock.

    Looks like ORWO NC400 but somehow priced even cheaper than ORWO? I'm willing to bet this is an ORWO stock but whether just a repackage or tweaked remains to be seen. Either way, it's always good to see new stocks come out and even if it's a repackage, the NC400 is a wonderful stock and there's no harm in having it sold to a wider audience as LOMO.

      ORWO NC400 was literally the first thing I thought about when I saw this film. The thing is though, ORWO still hasn't fulfilled orders from over a year ago. How are they supplying Lomography while people are coming after them asking where their film is?

    It remains to be seen whether this film is a real alternative to CineStill. A big disadvantage of LomoChrome Color is the high price. In addition to the 12.90 euros, there is the same amount for processing the film in the LomoChrome laboratory. I don't understand why this is necessary, especially since this film can be processed as a normal color film. Or did I get this wrong?

  • @macbookdieter
    @macbookdieter Рік тому

    So, I just asking. Doesn’t this film look like some expired roll of Gold 200?
    And Chrome usually means transparency film.
