My husband is Military and worked at Discovery for a while. I would always ask if he heard or saw any ghosts. He didn't. But he also was not working at night. Thanks for the spooky stories about Stanley Park.

Great videos! I'm curious about the location of the Babes in the Woods discovery / the stone tribute on the ground - is this along Hanson Trail? Possibly Chickadee Trail? The only clue I've been able to find is an old staff map of the park with an X where they were found, but it's not detailed. Thank you!

Hi Jeff - Sorry for the late response. I went back to check my notes to refresh my memory. I started with the same bad map that you did and the only other info I found was that the memorial was near a tall dead tree just off the trail. Unfortunately my GPS from that day wasnt much help since I covered all three trails in that area. If I were to go again id start at Chickadee Trail just above Reservoir trail and just below the curve in Stanley park drive and look for that dead tree - it did stand out once in I got to the right spot. Sorry I couldn't be more specific. I was all over the park that day and my memory is a bit foggy!

@@ExitThrutheGiftShop Thank you so much, I appreciate this! After some more sleuthing, I was actually able to find the spot just yesterday - it felt a bit surreal for me to be there, as I have known this case for years and have lived beside Stanley Park for years! A very sad feeling for sure, and it's not a spot I would have thought of. That early map is inaccurate, but I guess at the time it was close enough! Thanks again, and again great videos! Cheers ...

Now I'm curious - Where did it end up being located?? I was there a year ago so my memory was fuzzy, but I remember I spent about an hour and tried three different trails before I found the spot!

I once realised that Kirby Morrow was cremated and his ashes were scattered near Stanley Park Ocean

From when I was homeless o have some creepy stories about this place. Alot of homeless people will not stay in here. I found bizzare satanic shrines, weird pornographic books set up near paths when kids were on field trips, a crazy homeless who pulled a gun on me. Booby traps. An area where I randomly passed out and woke up k. The mountain

Yeah I’m definitely not biking down the sea wall at night ever again. I knew it was haunted but I DID NOT know it was THIS haunted. Jesus the amount of ghosts and demonic spirits that roam this park is enough to make anyone’s skin crawl. I remember driving a evo to McDonald’s with some friends and then parking near the rowing club to eat by myself after I dropped them at home on the west end. I thought it would be a nice view and relaxing but I didn’t feel that at all. I felt watched and not in a nice way. I remember getting out the car for a second and thought I saw someone go for a run. Later when I drove out I never ended up seeing anyone in the park walking at all. Never going down there at night again!

You missed A big piece of History. Check out the "Ludgate Affair". The first time the Vancouver Riot act was declared.
This small islet again became the site of conflict when Theodore Ludgate leased the island from the federal government in 1899, to the chagrin of the mayor and other civic officials who assumed that it was included in the original Stanley Park land grant. Mayor James Garden, with police accompaniment, tried to prevent Ludgate from clearing the land by reading the first ever Vancouver riot act after a showdown between Ludgate's men and the police. Ludgate escaped arrest, and police guards were left on the island, but the protracted legal battle that followed gave Ludgate the opportunity to proceed with his plan to build a saw mill and log the island. By 1911, Ludgate had won his case, cleared the island of both trees and the squatter community that lived there. Ludgate was subsequently unable to meet the terms of his lease, and the island reverted to the Dominion government. In 1930 the island was offered to the city by the federal government to be used as a park, but a park never materialized, and it was instead turned into a naval station in 1944.
