Either CaptainSim is treating this more like a game where “who cares if you don’t model anything, we’re playing for a casual audience.” Or they have no clue how to use MSFS’s SDK works and just gave up on it. In which case transition to fucking x-plane or some shit.

This is why I believe game mods should always be free with an optional donate button. How can you make someone pay for something like this? It's basically a scam. What did they do? Take someone elses model, put Microsoft's physics on it, didn't even bother with a cockpit, done, give me $15? Greed like this is honestly ruining the modding communities on all sims. I release mods for rFactor 2 and I never charge a dime, unlike some other people who force people to pay for their Patreon and stuff to download. Back in the day the community used to release things for free for the love of the community, but setting up stores for your half-assed (that means lazy) broken mods tells me they're doing it for business and not for the love. Everything in todays world is basically "How can I monetize this?" and then content like this is the end result.
Flight simming is incredibly brutal compared to other games when it comes to modding. Sure some of these mods are difficult and underfunded but if someone can remake New Vegas in the Fallout 4 engine for free and stay afloat on donations alone theres no reason msfs/p3d/xplane devs cant do the same
Have you seen detailed add-ons (mods, it's an add-on really) in Flight Simulators (both XP and MSFS) like Toliss, Fenix or PMDG? They're on totaly different leagues compared to this plane. Also Flight Sim is a strange situation in terms of third party content. This add-on are made by companies not hobbyist like most mods, so they need to pay employees and expenses. In this case it's closer to an OS than a game, where its softwares are made by third party.
@@choopwav the difference is mostly because these add-ons are made by companies instead of individual or group of hobbyist. They have to pay salary and have operational expenses. Really hard for a company to survive on donations. Maybe that could change when group of hobbyist make high quality add-on on a daily basis. But since XP11 only 2 that actually done it, ZIBO with their 737NG and FlyByWire with their A320 NEO.
Edit: I might add that making 3d assets and scripts like your New Vegas example can be done by spending time (lots of open source tools). On the other hand, aircraft documentation that can be obtained legally are very expensive. Not to mention you need real pilots to test your planes so it behave like it suppose to. Aviation industry as a whole is very brutal when it comes to financial need. They're very closed off and protective of their intelectual properties.

@@Streetw1s3r yep, most mainstream flight sim add-on makers are companies. Usually a small one (less than 20 employees or lower), albeit still a company with salaries and operational expenses.
Edit: that said, you should always look for review when wanting to buy a product. Just avoid the one like in this video, this is a very bad product. Check out ToLiss, Fenix, PMDG, or iniBuilds for example. You'll find their planes are highly detailed and a lot of systems modeled.

I bought this plane for flight sim so you can actually get into the cockpit by going selecting the camera icon and selecting views instrument and select instrument one and your in the actual cockpit but all the dials and and actuals instruments are all blurry and distorted you can't select anything like turning taxi lights on and off turning on navigation lights landing lights beacon or strobe lights its literally non exisent cool plane to have for flight sim but it needs a update and needs to be polished on the inside of the cockpit.

i just bought mfs on xbox app and when i open it that 2gb installer opens it crashes before it can even start the download. It just crashes and closes the game with no error. If anyone know how to help pls

@@rate12346 they're focusing on sim and world updates, which is a very good thing. Let third party developers make contents especially aircraft. You can have much more detailed and high fidelity one such as Fenix, JustFlight, PMDG, and the open sourced FBW Community.
