AI voiceover is... unwelcoming. Dislike that. Worse yet. Terratech is a game that has SO much potential, and it will never be realized because the devs haven't the faintest clue how to go forward. The difficulty peaks almost at the beginning of the game. You can make a combat vehicle capable of taking on anything that's thrown at you with less that 14 parts. I think I made one with 8. resource gathering loses all meaning very quick. Going into multiplayer sandbox, IF you find anyone to play with usually results in builds so large the game itself can't handle it, even if your computer isn't struggling. They are making a new Terratech, and it's reached a dead end almost in the same way this one has.
The AI voiceover is not everyone's cup of tea, no worries. I think the devs expect you to want to keep unlocking new types of blocks. Even then, there is a definite wall. However, I hit it after about 70 hours of fun. I did play the majority of the time in co-op, which seems to make everything more fun.
