This woman is what we would call in our country SIMPLE MINDED. She doesn't think logically, why would you put your stove and food next to a dirty birdcage. You can tell Roya wants to see her father , mother was calm in beginning so Roya went to her father. When Shakina starts fighting with him then Roya follows her lead. It is why she threw stones at his car. Karim might not have been a good husband to Shakina but she needs to let him see his children and be a father. He visits for less than five minutes and she starts. Using the excuse her children will get sick outside. But she had them out longer than that watching chickens eat rice. She just doesn't want this man to see his children at all. Hes not honestly a good husband but is a father who loves his daughters. I think they would be raised better with him. And treated equally. Fed more properly and taught obedience better.

I am glad there is now a cabinet. Hope more cabinet for their clothes and shelves for plates. They need bowls for soup not plate. Also,Roya so sweet giving kisses. These parents needs to be civil and stop fighting in front of kids. Any man who brings his new wife to the home of his ex so soon after leaving her is beyond words. When you say "no shortage of food", you must mean all the rice that they eat. At least she was able to make meals out of the rice with the tomatoes, eggs, potatoes and occasional chicken she received. The children can't eat a white board and markers. All he ever brings is either junk food or nothing. His meager gift to Roya doesn't make up for an empty stomach.
