Hi! It's sort of a mid-range machine. My older machine that was definitely not as nice as this one also had a ton of decorative stitches, but they were both Viking Husquvarnas, so I'm not sure if they come with more than a Brother or a more entry-level brand. Sorry, hope that helps!
So glad I found you! Because of Covid I have been unable to take in person classes on my Epic 980Q. So glad to see young people like yourself sewing and designing! Great job!
Absolutely beautiful job on your dress!! I would love to get that sewing machine too 😉👍. Thankyou so much for the demonstration, it has helped me to get more creative with decorative stitches ☺
You did a wonderful job. So glad to see this video. Idk why so many people that sew/quilt don't use decorative stitches. I bought machines with the most stitches I could afford just so I can play with them. I have taken many store bought clothes as well as solid fabric and did similar stitches as you (though not nearly as beautiful as what you created). Hope to see more. TFS.
This is such a great inspiring video. I love your stitching and seeing it done really helps me visualize and use what I have for a project I see that I can do. Thanks for sharing.
Hallo from Greece! I have a pfaff 620 with some decorative stitches and alphabet letters. When I am using them on a small amout, lets say around a hem I am using kitchen paper folded in halph and it works! Then of course you have to clean your under stitch pate area just in case!
Great job Stephanie!! You are brave 🤣 it takes a looot of patience to embroider with a "classic" sewing machine... It turned out great, definitely going to listen to your advice in the future 😍
I love the dress you made. I noticed a stitch that looks like a ladder stitch. (not sure what it is really called) it has square holes in it. Can you please tell me how you created this? TIA
Hi Fatema- For the decorative stitches I actually just used regular all-purpose Guterman thread, but embroidery thread would work too if you want more of a shine. At my local store there are more color options with the all-purpose thread and it does work perfectly well with decorative stitches like this. Hope that helps! - Stefanie
Hi, I am seeing your video right now. In bottom frilly portion of your dress, is that ladder stitch , done in cut work style or just that built-in pattern in your machine.😊
Hi Sanaz! So sorry I am just seeing this message now. Unfortunately there is no commercial pattern as I made it myself. But hopefully at some point I will be able to make my own patterns or teach people how to make this dress since it seems to be a popular shape!
I'm obsessed, this is exactly what I'm looking for

Your dress is a work of art!! Just Beautiful ❤
Great use of the frequently-ignored decorative stitches! You've inspired me to go look at my machine's dec and utility stitches right now. Thank you.
Stunning job in making a simple dress a piece of art! Inspiring!
Thank you so much for posting this video, this was exactly the information I was looking for .

Thank you SO much Sveva!! You're right.... it took ENDLESS PATIENCE. But the result was worth it and I would do it again!

Perfect ❤
Thank you for this wonderful video. You are so creative. Could you tell me what kind of thread you used to embroider this dress?

@@StefanieSchoen Yes it does help. Thank you :)
Do you embroider before making the dress or after?
I can't see the presser foot. Which one was it please?
Is this simple sewing machine or special one??
Hi Stelina I am unable to get notifications it’s says it’s set up for kid and not adults. :)
that's so weird. This video? I checked the settings and it says not for kids...? I will keep trying!
@@StefanieSchoen it’s fixed now :)

Hi- I actually bought the ladder stitch trim and inserted it in that section. Sorry if I didn't make that part clear!
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing this idea. Is there a pattern for this dress?

How much it is?
I am looking for someone to add the decorative stitches to table runners. Can you help me?
This would have looked nice in the sixties.
