Thank you Senator, most grateful for your insight and voice. Thank you also George. I hope our generation is able to create a more meaningful and fulfilling life for future generations of pwd with real choice and control, real economic and social inclusion and participation.

Thank you so much for making the impact of the changers so clear. It's frightening, many people with disabilities would be within their rights to not trust the government now because they just keep on changing very significant aspects of the NDIS and if this Bill goes through not much of the original hope for a participant to have choice and control that they planned themselves for a life they wanted to attempt to lead will be a possible.

It makes me happy that we have strong independent voices bringing this to our attention and for Jordon Steele-John to share our concerns

Watching the senator struggle to say anything at all that's nice about the bill in the opening was priceless => thanks for clipping it for the intro.

The one point that isn’t raised is the lack of qualifications of people who work for the ndia or the Ndis lack of qualifications of people who work for the NDA or the Ndis there are no medically qualified people in either Agency none so how do they understand the medical conditions and needs of people with Disability?

I am on a package 4. NDIS has been helpfull but at times frustrating. The amount of taxpayer money alloted to me via the package is generous. However the services delivered is not value for money. The service providers are inefficient. Their rules and limitations seem to be about their proffit needs.

Yea corruption seems to be at play, they are allowing companies to overcharge, but forcing us to buy from them when others sell the same thing cheaper. Then punish the participants.

I have noticed that all governments hate the NDIS.
Governments reflect the Australian population in general, and the Australian population in general also hate the NDIS
Everyone thinks that they will never need it, so they think it is a waste of money.
As the initial reports showed, the NDIS is a net benefit, not a cost, but that is not promoted or understood by government and certainly not understood be anyone who does not have a disability.
It is a brilliant idea. It has changed my life. Let's hope it is not neutered.
I have also noticed there are some very capable people, like Dr George and Senator Steele-John, fighting in 'our' corner. I hope your voices are loud enough.

People hate NDIS because they can see something is wrong with it.
Similar to some people recognising that all the money spent on indigenous services doesn't pay off when the money rarely reaches who it was intended for and lives are not improved. Doesn't mean people don't want to help. Just they can see vast sums of money being wasted.
I feel sick when I look at my years of funding and what has been achieved regarding my goals or even basic dignity in living.
      Less than nothing.
The destruction of my life and further disability is what has happened to me.
Psychological torment of people coming in for a signature in a support agreement and then disappearing. Over and over.
NDIS regular meetings and they just watch, demand new paperwork, having not acted on any paperwork they ever received. Something seriously wrong for so long. Nearly 5 years. It's criminal on multiple levels but no one listens.
It's the way they investigate, the foxes run security at the hen house, and every check point on the road there.
No one ever follows up, you're just a ghost before you even die.

People that feel negative about their taxes paying for NDIS is because the government of the day and the media keep putting out propaganda to form these views in peoples minds towards disabled people!

How can you say that Senator Steele - John is IN OUR Corner???...He's a professional politician associated with the Greens who have a political agenda like ALP & LNP...

As a carer I am so concerned for participants that don’t have a parent, guardian or loved one in their corner. My son would be screwed without me keeping an eye on things.

Shorten just wasted a whole lot of money doing a review - there are any number of organisations he could have gone to who would have told him what needs fixing and how to fix it.

There is no one employed by the NDIA or the NDIS that is in anyway qualified to read interpret understand and then apply that information to a disabled persons NDIS plan. There’s nobody qualified. The best we can hope for is year 10 literary skills but great KPI‘s. what madness is any government thinking that a public servant or employee of Serco , could possibly be involved with prescribing the needs for a disabled person

They have already been acting as if these kinds of changes are the rules in the psychosocial space. Slashing plans of anything that was actually helping achieve goals and not looking at anything you submit as evidence of progress or ongoing need. There's already no point in setting goals because they are not interested in providing plans that do anything more than maintain survival living. Then they have the audacity to ask why you aren't achieving your goals? I wish I'd had the guts to tell her that it's directly related to the decisions she made and choices she made over me the year before. I will not be surprised if they are hoping to remove psychosocial participants from the scheme entirely in the long run. I'm really scared to go back to nothing at all because the mental health systems failures and mistreatment is why I'm disabled in the first place. Scary times...

I am still alone, like in a cage, being tortured. My funding is increased each year but I get less support. It has just been repeadedly taken by registered providers while I die without any supports they say they provide. No one seems to want to help me. I tried so many times to find a service that didn't forget me. My 'human rights' are non existent within NDIS and I have lost all hope.

The Senate inquiry has closed. So to have your say on what happens to the bill in the Senate, I recommend contacting the minister and the NDIS spokesperson for the opposition Michael Sukkar and your state and territory representative in the Senate. Regards, GT
