It was so cool to see visibility open up at depth. We were worried we weren’t going to see a thing. Looking forward to seeing your videos on South Caicos. I haven’t been there in years, and hope the diving was as amazing as I remember it.
Hit send to soon When I heard everything working against us knew it would be epic ! It cleard up so you got some good footage of the wall the divers gave it scale and the narration is excellent Have a great day!
Thank you. St. Croix has a lot of diverse dive sites including boat dives and shore dives out to a wall that drops down 13,000’, a bay with over 5 different wrecks, an amazing reef system on both the north shore and west end, and arguably the best pier dive in the world. Reef diving in the keys is generally shallower, but the wrecks are bigger than on St. Croix. Bonaire is full of great shore dives and has similar wall and wreck dives as St Croix along with a great pier dive, but I think diving St. Croix is a hidden gem.
@@TritonsRealm Thanks for the Reply, and we're enjoying many of your other videos, too! We enjoyed snorkeling at St Thomas and St John several years ago, and expect St Croix is similar
Came looking for this from Scary interesting channel. And 13000 ft is like the depth where we find wrecks of the Titanic. If something goes over its crazy it's going to sink to that depth.
So true! The wall on St. Croix is the perfect place to dive using Nitrox. However getting oxygen on island is really hit or miss. We’ll sometimes go weeks without any of the dive shops having it. But when we can get it, it’s great! Not sure about the other people in our group, but Evan and I only felt very slight effects from nitrogen narcosis. Could be because we regularly do dives past 100’ or maybe we’re just used to thinking through the effects. Not real sure, but narcosis is not usually a problem for us, but it is something we talk about prior to every deep dive. Great question! Thanks again for watching and commenting. - Jeff
A great video as usual. I've seen this one a couple of times . It has 1.2 thousand views! I can't believe only 54 people bothered to hit the thumbs up. I think it's just laziness. You guys did all the hard work, that's the least the viewers can do. 😄

Thank you! It's a dive we've only been able to do twice. We had a ton of fun and it's such a cool area to explore.
Great job explaining NDL concerns during the dive! How does St Croix compare to other dive locations like the Florida Keys or Bonaire?

Really cool dive site 😃 I almost jump in with my glasses all the time as well 😂
Lol. Yeah, sunglasses are easy to forget. He comes close to diving with them all the time. 😛

Man, a little EAN28 would have been helpful for a bit more NDL. How was the narcosis down there?

13000ft is definitely crazy deep. As divers we can barely break the surface. It’s amazing to think what lives down deeper. 👍
