Even if they got the best roster in the league this season, which I think they don’t it’s probably still the Cs, if they didn’t get it done this season they probably lose that best roster title next season.

It’s funny that the thoughts on this trade vs the Gobert trade are so different. The Knicks essentially sent the same package for a guy who averages 14, 4 and 2 vs a now 4 time DPOY that helped turn around a franchise.
At that time, trading this many picks was seen as extreme. Gobert was also coming off of a very very bad playoffs performance where he basically got played off the floor. I do think the Knicks gave up one too many picks in this trade, but for the most part it was a win/win/win trade if you include Houston

@@devinchat4300 I think the Gobert being played off the court in the playoffs is a BS take. No one on that team played any kind of perimeter defense and it was all funneled to him. You can see like this year if he has competent players on the wing he is able to maximize his abilities. Expecting him to play 5 vs 1 on defense of course you’re gonna get cooked.
