Vas, a 17mm socket, an electric rattle gun and a bit of a kick and lift to raise the panel out of the base is enough to defeat temporary fencing, if anyone asks any further questions just wear some hi-vis clothing and a hard hat and put a little beacon on top of your RC car. If you act like you are meant to be there, your average construction worker won’t stop you.
Hi-vis, a hard hat, and a clip board will get you just about anywhere.

Don't worry, the channel will continue, I'm just not sure where I will be doing my testing from now on. I have a few options, it's just a matter of making them work the way I want.
3:25 excuse me, my english ain't good at all, but an 1/8 rc is going to do a damage to the "new" surface, and NOT a rider with a BMX that weighs more than 10 times?
A Bike with all the weight will push the new surface down to make it firm. A RC car with his mighty BL power and almost no weight will spinn the wheels and blow away the fresh dirt. So it is for a good reason to stay off the track so it can settle.
A kid on a BMX doesn't have the power to rip up a track like a high powered RC does. A BMX might be heavier but they aren't spinning their tires or nose diving from two stories in the air, into a very small contact point.

Jang definitely came to mind.... but we have faith in VAS ! This track was amazing to watch and provided great consistency allowing us to make decisions on what RCs to buy for ourselves. THANK YOU VAS. Sycamore was great but other doors will open. Keep being AWESOME !!!

Man...I've been so envious of this track and now it's gone. I can't believe I will miss a place I've never been, but it feels like I've been there with your great videos. Rock on man, I am sure you'll find a suitable spot.
I feel your pain. We're no longer allowed to run our cars in our park anywhere anymore, not just on the BMX track and skatepark areas. It turns out 1 person complained. Just 1. And that was it. And now the local mill ponds, where we used to take our RC boats, has just been fenced off so no more boating for me and my son. And there's been no explanation given to this. It was a widely used fishing spot with some good sport, too. So not just affected my hobby but the others. And then right outside my house we have a communal half size soccer pitch for the children to play on. Signs went up last week banning the use of any RC flying models. Which is a real shame because that's what all the children used it for.
Bummer on the track. The only constant is change my friend. Thanks :)
I'm sure it'll end up like the BMX track near me. They wont allow RC cars and fence it off, and it sits empty and disused for all by about 3 weeks a year.
You can take the man away from the bash spot, but you can't take the bashing away from the man. You ARE the bash, Vas. No matter where you go, your RC awesomeness will be there 👊🏻👊🏻.

For those that have basically started with rc through your channel ...thanks for giving us some closure. I know this was a while ago, but wow the memories. RC Wars! and even some great times with your son! I thought about contacting them and demanding they give you at least a day, but when you said they laid a new surface I knew it was lost. Any current info on the track? Did they go through with the resurface? Are you even allowed on the property? Go out there and give us an updated look.....;)
Thanks man. Yeah, the track has been resurfaced and no RCs are allowed on the track now. The whole facility had changed, including the track layout, so even if I could use it, it doesn't have the same appeal as before and the jumps aren't the same either. It's truly gone...
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and I'll always have the videos and the memories. 🙂

Haha, thanks. Yeah, I know I made it a sad ending, but it is the end of an era for this channel and that track was part of it. It's a one-off thing I did to say goodbye and I'm sure the ending will be forgotten by next week when you see what's coming. 😉

I have a bmx track near me that claimed my 1/8 scale cars were causing damage, and banned rc cars. I decided to go back with my 5th scale cars and give them a reason to make that claim. They had to reface 4 of the jumps after my little session. Somehow I got my point across and the owner allows rc cars again as long as they arent bigger than a 1/8 scale truggy.
Here in Sydney I still haven’t found any public BMX tracks where I can use my RC cars ... (even while no one is using them...)
St ives showground had a dedicated rc track that's open to the public as long as you look after it. Don't know how close that is to you but it might be worth looking into.
I share your feeling brother. I got kicked out couple of times at the BMX bike Park I was bashing for quite sometime. And it SUCKS. Just like anything else in life nothing last forever. I have full confidence that you'll find an Awesome bashing Spot once again just as Awesome or even more Awesome than this. Now.. I couldn't have been happier at my New bashing Spot. I don't know if you've seen my videos or sub to my channel or not but construction sites are Awesome bashing Spot option having different types of terrains in one spot are Great for putting RC cars to an ultimate TEST. It was a great last bashing session brother. Looking forward to seeing you in action again soon.

Sorry about loosing your track Vas!😩 I've recently lost my fav. spot too as in was a PERFECT construction site with smooth dirt. Perfect ramp staging too. It's been sitting for a year and I used it as much as I could! Good times at least!😜Look forward to what's next for ya!! Killer run though with the Seth magic beast! I went out to the bmx track over by my old house recently only to find the grandstands gone, the fences all gone and the track completely leveled :( they left all the buildings though so I'm hoping they are just rebuilding it.
All these Years,watching......Now Gone. We'll be Right Here,once You find the New Spot!

You have to choose between a Seth and a Bushmaster. Which one do you take ?
I love Team Magic, I think they make some of the best products on the market today, but if I had to chose, I'd chose the Bushmaster - 100%. I like the Seth, I just don't think it's quite right out of the box... Once you tweak a bit, it's better, but when compared to the Bushmaster, IMO, the Bushmaster wins my vote.
However, given how hard it is to find parts for anything from Thunder Tiger these days, I'd pick the Seth purely because of parts support.

There have been a few channels that have used this track in the past, but none as much as I have, I'm sure. ;)

That's unfortunate man. 45 minutes isn't that bad for some huge jumps. Maybe adapt to the new found track for reviews and runs?
I'll try and come up with something that will work, it might just take some time to get used to it. Mind you that track is 45min on the freeway, so it's not close. Haha.

Given there are signs there banning RC from the track, it is unlikely I or anyone will be allowed to drive there. Plus, I had one interaction with a BMX guy at a different track a few years ago and he wasn't a very nice or understanding person, so he didn't really inspire me to approach this club to ask for permission. I think I'd rather avoid trouble and just stay clear of this place until the club dies off and it becomes abandoned again.

there looks to be quite a bit of room around that track , have you approached the council and asked if they can make a rc track !! that happened to me , same thing , used the track , track got resurfaced and closed to rc , asked and they made a few jumps and a small track , which ironically has now been taken over by bmx's , but i still bash there when i can . doesn't hurt to ask . . .
Yeah, I might look into it in the future. The councils here aren't exactly helpful is there's no money in it for them, but like you said, I can only ask.
Yes Aussie rc playground that playground was a good place to test out cars there so people can decide what kind of car RC to buy you are one of the best or THEE best RC test person I've seen. well change is good and a new horizon to test your cars again.

It's a shame and I don't understand why do they ban RC cars from BMX tracks. If it's a city tax paid for area why cant you run RC's what harm is it?
The track has been taken over by a BMX club, which I may have forgotten to mention in the intro, and it's they that are banning RCs on the track. If the track stayed as it is with the current gravel surface, I wouldn't stop going there. Although, I would use caution when doing so. But with this new surface, I don't think it would take a nose dive with an aluminium chassis digging into it all that well. Maybe I'm wrong, but given that you can get fined for trespassing on the track once it re-opens, I'm not game enough to find out.
Bottom line..... city workers are lazy and there are others in our hobby that have caused a problem for the rest of us because they want to threaten said city workers and bmx riders
Such a shame about the track Vas 😥 I'm glad you already have some new spots scouted out 👍 What happened with the few jumps that were outside of the track? You used to do a bit on those before you would go into the main track. And race wars looks like it could still happen since it was on the outside..... As a park basher sometimes all ya need is a ramp and wide open space. I know that park is right behind your house, so maybe you could still make use of it 😃

All great questions... So the little jumps outside the track can't be used either as the tradies park their truck right next to it and are in the way at the moment. Then there's the issue of the overgrown grass and poor condition of the jumps themselves. So not ideal conditions and wouldn't make for good content.
RC RACE WARS was inside the track, its RC CARNAGE that was outside. The problem there is that they have paved right across where we drive and that means we can't go flat out as the cars would hit the elevated paving. Essentially, they have killed this site of any potential content for... Potentially, ever. It's just not suitable any more...
Don't worry, new sites and new opportunities to come, it's not over. 😉

The track was a public facility and anyone could use it. However, now it's owned (or perhaps leased) by a BMX club, hence the renovations. Once it re-opens, anyone caught using the track will be trespassing and could potentially be fined.
@@AussieRCPlayground ah yeah, real bummer when public places go private. Btw I'm sure you have mentioned this but did you have any opportunity to run the seth some after this? Any more failures or was that pin just a fluke?

You can show the owner your not doing any harm at all , give him a rc for allwing you use once whike when its closed or maybe get few buddys and they coukd give you time your allowed to use im sure wear tear of the track is bs or just regular wear that not being paid for .
It is what it is, I get angry looks just arming my esc to my rc's. You can't really run electrics anywhere anymore, in the daytime anyway. When its dark out, you can't really go full on or a mishap is bound to happen. Gas or nitro. .....don't bother unless you own your own ranch. Keep on goin though, great vids man!
It’s so hard to find good spots like these. The best spots I’ve been able to find have been skateparks , I live in New York btw

Because it's been taken over by a BMX club and is currently fenced off for renovations. Once it re-opens, it will be off limits to the public.
I know this show with the BMX track, shit, shame, I really hope you can get a new playground, all the best to you.
The Keillor RC off road track will be good track for you.
Will have to check it out, but RC tracks are usually also off limits for bashers like myself. I'd be surprised if they allowed me to run there...

As a BMX rider and RC driver, I can say that RC should run on RC tracks and BMX should run on BMX tracks. Nothing worse than RC cars when ur on yer bike. Also, cars break and leave debris on concrete courses, which, as I unfortunately discovered, will wash out your wheels. Lost the front one day and put a handlebar into my chest driving a rib into my lung. Not fun.

The BMX club is back up and running. The RC cars do cause surface damage and when you run a bmx race it effects it.
Utter nonsense. Been using that track for years and have never caused any damage to it. Rain, lack of maintenance and bored teenages causes damage, not RC cars. Get your facts right, please.
The club has not been running for years. Now they are back up and running it is completely understandable that they don’t want people running rc cars on the track. It isn’t a RC track it is a bmx track.
@@TeamUCAN2 it's also a PUBLIC TRACK and should be allowed to be used all members of the community, whether they use it for RC or BMX. There doesn't have to be rift between the two hobbies, we should all be allowed to use it.
Issue is there are people who don’t have respect and they ruin it for all. I’m an RC user but I can see where the BMX club is coming from.
So can I, but that shouldn't be grounds to blanket ban everyone when even a dad with a couple of kids can't even use their $100 RC Christmas gifts there. What harm can they do? And I have hundreds of videos showing how even my cars cause no damage to the track, so it's not right to ban everyone from using it just because of a few bad apples. I don't see anyone banning cars because some dude decided run people over in the CBD. Or motorbikes being banned because some idiot ran over a mother in a shopping center car park.
I personally don't care if a BMX club is running there, but there's a big sign right in front of the track from Whittlesea Council stating that it's a public facility. What power does this BMX club have to suddenly ban anyone from using it? How is that fair?

Haha, I know right. Well, the track has been featured on the channel for years and hundreds of times, and is (or was) as much a part of the testing as the cars themselves. It was part of the channel or even a character, if you will, so I can understand the sentiment and to see it gone will mean the channel will change in a way. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing remains to be seen...
