hi! so first things first CONGRATS TO SHAYNE AND COURTNEY LMAO so, last year i started watching @DepartmentofWeirdSounds (which, huge shoutout to them!) shourtney stream compilations because they're like the only content out there of when smosh did twitch lol and naturally i started shipping shayne and courtney, but i know they had to deal with some very invasive shippers throughout the years (not saying everyone was like that btw but there was a loud minority), so i only shipped them ~in secret~ lmao and i started making compilations of their moments only to watch myself (which i KNOW sounds weird af but idk i felt weird too if i uploaded them???) anyway, now that they're public i feel more comfortable uploading these and hope they do too. long live to these besties in love!

Tbh, judging by the reaction of everyone I think he might have been but its could have been more of an inside joke than actually being a real gift, like he was messing with her and then revealed her real gift to her.
Courtney mentioned this story on the old SmoshCast when they (presumably) weren't dating yet, so it was definitely her previous ex, Wahlid Mohammad. Which is insane to think about because he still exists on the internet today and he works for TMG, and Courtney's mentioned how she found out he cheated on her after they broke up. Obviously never mentioning his name, but fans put 2 and 2 together. 😬😬😬

Idk, I think calling it "obvious" is pretty subjective. I mean kudos to you for being right, obviously. But implying that other people are dumb for not noticing it is unfair. I mean, they did try to hide it. Calling it obvious implies that they didn't hide it well enough.
It was definitely obvious that they had chemistry. But most people, seeing that, just chucked it up to a platonic sibling-like friendship. Also because in the past they've directly and indirectly denied claims of them dating, so most people just dropped the subject.
There's nothing inherently wrong with shipping obviously and there's also nothing wrong with believing what creators say about their private lives at face value. Cause most people just thought "oh, they say they're not dating so I guess they're not".
Personally, I don't think it was that obvious. Again, they definitely had chemistry but many people wouldn't think much of it.
I think overanalyzing Smosh clips is not enough for anyone to make a valid conclusion that they were dating because, again, they were trying to hide it.
But hey, congrats for being right. It's like getting the right answer to a math problem but using the wrong formula.
