@@pk360de is the phone need to be open all through out the ride? or will it stop recording once you put it in your back pocket or when the screen is off?
@@marcoculala1156 The official answer from Insta360 is to keep your phone "open" meaning not lock / screensave the display and not put the app into background. In the current versions of the app there is some "lock" icon on the recording screen which prevents screen touches by accident but you still could kick the app into background. The reason to keep the phone / app open is that Android & iOS tend to save battery by halting / pause apps on a locked screen / placed in background to save battery / cpu cycles. Hi, I am not seeing any option for adding "stats" in my app, I did enable GPS prior to recording, too. Is the updated app (for onex2) Different? What do I need to do to get speed on screen.
No, you get this because the video on which you try to enable the stats overlay has not (enough) GPS data saved within it. The tricky thing is, the Insta360app (yellow circle icon) is more sensible to the beginning of the data flow. For example with the OneX app the video can have missing GPS data - for whatever reason - at the start, but it simply displays a "no gps data" text at the top until the data was recorded and then shows the stats. So you can have - let's say - 10 sec without data, but the rest with stats. The Insta360app will not allow stats on videos which are missing GPS data, or not accurate enough data for the first 3-5 seconds. One/two Second is okay, but more .. then it displays the message that you have to record video with GPS... the translations are a bit bad... from the meaning the text should point to the different methods GPS can be acquired, phone / GPS smart remote / Apple watch.
It would be great if the stats telemetry can be turned on and off with eg keyframes. Now if you select stats, they are visible throughout the whole video. Next stats feature really needs to be added to the Studio software
