Great video, thank you! I have recently purchased one of these bags, in black to complement my Mini O bag. Thank you for sharing you always well made and interesting videos of life with a Brompton... 👍🏻 ✅ 👏🏻
Excellent bag and with a large front Bag should be enough gear for Staying at Hostels and AirBnBs , Hotels, etc. You still have room to add a small Bag for Tools at the Back of the Seatpost and a water Bottle on the HandleBars. @@BromptonTraveler My Nash Rackbag arrived on Friday! Very pleased with the quality and the features. Side pannier 1- sleeping mattress, inflatable pillow. Side pannier 2 - pocket radio in drybag, small camera in drybag, roll up Thermarest compressible pillow (small) yes I need 2 pillows! small square of groundsheet plastic big enough to sit on, collapsible plastic water carrier. Pootling along I am Impressed By the amount of stuff you can put in it! Well done and for sure let me know how you found it while touring! Many thanks.
@@pootlingalong8928 it sounds much bigger than 12l. I wonder whether that figure is with the protective sleeve inserted and without counting the panniers? The Brompton Racksack claims 16l in a single compartment but I don’t think I’d be able to stuff all your gear into it. One thing is the relatively short size quoted 37.5cm. The B Racksack is 40cm (and will stretch to 42!) and my 40cm walking poles just fit it.
Thanks Laurel. They do make nice bags that are often specially made for Brompton. This one is not but it fits nicely and works well. Good thing is that you can also use it on any other rack you might have installed on a different bike as it is quick to adjust.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like it could be a reasonable option for a weekend camping trip, when combined with a decent front bag, maybe with the tent bungeed on the top?
Having the side rear paniers, although increasing capacity and keeping weight low has the disadvantage when trying to push the bike uphill or through mud! Have you considered the 16 litre Rack Sack, or R bag from Brompton? Although it takes longer to mount or dismount on the bike, it's a great to place a large waterproof compression bag (tent/sleeping bag).No need to carry a rain cover! I placed another compression bag on top which I clipped around the seatpost and secured with a cargo net to the rack which worked really well :)
Thanks for the comment. You make a fair point about the side bags making it harder to push the bike. R bag is a neat solution but again lacks capacity . Fior long tours I still prefer a backpack solution. Mine is 42 L and very comfortable on my shoulders when I transport the bike. Having two pieces luggage at the back I feel makes it more complicated but we all find out ways! Cheers
I believe it is based in Thailand and most accessible in the Far East and South East Asia. With the good quality products they make it might change. Hope you enjoy the bag.
Thanks for showing us this bag! But using this option... I would like to have a kickstand. I would love to hear or even see your thoughts in a video regarding pros and cons with a kickstand vs using the park-mode while travelling with full gear on the rack. Once again thanks for an interesting channel! Take care!
Thanks Jay Em. A kickstand is a matter of preference, I have seen many videos on youtube describing pros and cons of having one. Using the park mode on a Brompton when I travel with a backpack system is not an option as removing the backpack and refitting it takes a bit of time and usually I leave it on the bike all day. With this bag here it is a different story as you can easily remove it and fold the bike parked. Saying that I have rarely wished I had a kickstand on my bike and find that 95% of times you have a tree or a post, or a wall or something to lean the bike to when you need it. Thank you for the review! I was looking at this bag as well. For touring, do you think it would be feasible to stack another (small) bag, like a 25L backpack, on top of the rackbag, and attach it with some netting or cables?
Hi Jared, you are welcome! Given it is flat on top I see no reason why you could not have a duffel bag or a backpack tied at the top. What I would be careful though is to not put too much weight in that bag. If you do it might move around and put too much strain on the Klickfix system that locks the Nash Rackbag. Maybe using 2 strong bunjee chords going around the rack end enclosing both bags could be an idea? If you use it do let me know how you found it! Cheers

Well done review.. concise and descriptive enough. You should do more reviews. One question... Which rack is that in the bike? I notice it is not the original Brompton one. I have a M6L bike and would like to add a rack. But don't want to buy a second fender. Is there a none Brompton rear rack you recommend?
Thanks Fernando. On my tours I have always used the standard Brompton rack but as I detailed in other videos, when transporting the bike it is vulnerable to damage. I have always wanted a rack that is also easy to replace and doesn't involve removing the wheel and brake callipers from the frame... I bought the one you saw in this video on eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bicycle-Rack-for-Brompton-Bike-cargo-racks-4pcs-50mm-Easy-Wheel-ultralight/282910117633?hash=item41dec1cf01:g:HuUAAOSwC-xaytyV and installed it but I haven't had a chance to test it on a tour yet so I am not sure if it is strong enough to carry a heavy bag like the Brompton rack does... I plan to test it for longer in the future and be able to answer that question. There are some H&H titanium racks that I guess would be good but they seem way to expensive to try out.
Vincita makes fine bags, but they are absurdly expensive! I have the padded pouch for my folding pedal (Actually two), as it protects my bike and its surroundings during transport, but the price, ouch! Finn. Denmark
I think this is a general trend on folding bikes bags… maybe there is less choice and less competition so they can keep prices high? As you say at least they are a good investment as they are well built and will last a long time when taken care of. Thanks!
Hello, nice review. I got a question. Is the rack from Clickfix made of soft rubber or hard plastic ? (the part which leans on the rearrack of the bike - does it prevent scratches on the paint of the rearrack).
Jacobo the rack is not Clickfix. Clickfix is only the locking system on the bag that seats on the rack. The part that rests on the rack is between a soft rubber and hard plastic, not sure about the material. Personally I don't mind scratches on the rack. If use this bag regularly it is bound to scratch the rack a little on the top where it touches it.
I wonder does the original Brompton Racsack provide a better solution, particularly as it allows you fold the Bike as shown in this video and has a 16L capacity , so has that bit of extra space for touring. Would you also be able to use a Large Saddle Bag attached to the Seat Post to carry your Camping gear as an alternative to your BackPack Solution ? ua-cam.com/video/ArdI5yY3CTA/v-deo.html
Yes that is also a nice bag. The Vincita was sent to me for review so that is the one I could test. The Brompton version can fold the bike as you say but you wouldn't really need that feature as much in my opinion. When touring, you mostly need to fold the bike at the end of the day if at all... The Vincita bag I reviews on the plus side as a quick fix system which takes a click to remove. Brompton one has better capacity. I do use the seat post already ( I did a video on my latest setup here ua-cam.com/video/QIolFQRdnkQ/v-deo.html ) as it is a great place to put at least the tent. The only disadvantage of spreading too many bags on the bike is that it then takes more time to pack and unpack the bike. If you need a quick bus transfer with my system it can take a couple of minutes and I can carry everything on shoulder and hands. Cheers
Hello , I congratulate you on the video, very well explained, thank you very much 😊👍. I want you to advise me, I live in a city with slopes, and I do not know whether to buy an electric jumper or it is enough with one of 6 changes where I have many options to choose more beautiful models and designs, I am only concerned about the effort I would have to make to climb pending, I await your advice, greetings 😊👍☘️.
Hello Mithu, thanks for the questions. It all depends on your fitness level. Climbing steep hills on a Brompton with 6 gears takes a little training and some effort. If you are fit or want to use the bike to get fitter, it is a good idea to not use an electric assist. If on the other hand you prefer to not get too tired and want a more comfortable ride, the electric option is also very convenient. I also believe you can fit an electric upgrade on a regular Brompton but that you would have to confirm with a bike dealer. Regards.
@@BromptonTraveler I have to disagree with your view of the electric ⚡️ Brompton not helping you get fitter. I live in Switzerland so not a lot of flat rides. I got the Brompton electric this summer and thanks to it's electric assist started riding a lot more than before. At the beginning there were some hills I couldn't climb even with the electric assist but now that I have become fitter riding my electric Brompton, I can climb much better and I do get a cardio workout. Another thing to consider is that you can easily ride the Brompton electric not using the electric assist, so you get two bikes in one!
@@karinroten3606 Thanks Karin, I agree with you. I probably should have been clearer but what I meant is that without the electric assistance you will get fitter than if you were using it. Of course I appreciate that in some places with lots of steep climbs, an electric assist is a great help. Whatever flavour they are great fun to ride!
Thinking that an e assist option for a second bike would be nice for a hilly area around home, commuting. However, for touring I could see being tethered to electricity would certainly limit one’s options.
@@lonestarlaurel I guess it depends on the tour one plans isn't it? I suppose a tour where you mostly stay in hotels and you therefore don't need to carry along camping stuff you can sacrifice the front bag and have the battery. I am sure that could be good fun too. At the moment I do like to stick to my legs as I find it a great way to keep fit too. Also the camping gear helps me in the sense that I never need to book places in advance. I like the freedom of having a tent to fall back to should I not find accommodation. Looking forward to hear of people experiences while touring on a electric Brompton.
Ciao Gianni, I trust you are well. Thanks for your videos. Did you check this bag? www.carradice.co.uk/bags/saddle-packs-sqr-bags/super-c-sqr-tour I believe it is good, especially for Brompton without racks. Thanks!
Thanks Guido hope the same for you. Thanks a lot for the link. Another interesting bag that I wasn't aware of. Have you had a chance to test it and use it? Cheers
@@BromptonTraveler Carridice is a reputable brand within the UK market for their good quality bags. This bag will not move/shake while traveling and it has a great system for removing the bag (block carrier, same as Brompton). The bag itself is good and rainproof. I would recommend it. The only "downside" is when the bicycle is completely folded. The seatpost/saddle will stick out 5-10cm because of the carrier block. However, if a telescopic seatpost is added to the Brompton, then this issue is no longer there. If needed, the saddle can easily be removed and the bike can be folded really small. This is particularly good for TSA scanners at the airport, storage places, or where the height of the bicycle matters. Best!

If you need a quick bus transfer with my system it can take a couple of minutes and I can carry everything on shoulder and hands. Cheers
@@BromptonTraveler Experience tells you the best solution and I see what you mean by being able to carry the backpack and less bags to worry about.
Excellent. Thank you.
You are welcome!
great bag looks very useful.I have klickfix bags on my bike excellent system.Thank you for another great vidio.🇨🇦🚲
Yes Barrie, very useful indeed for credit card touring or simply commuting.
@@BromptonTraveler So insightful. lol. Gosh, such amazing and insightful positivity. So grateful for you.
Best!
