A fragment from Vera Ivanova's "Im Nebel" (In the fog) on Herman Hesse's poem of the same name. This is a movement from "In the Deep Heart's Core," a 4-movement cycle for piano and fixed audio, commissioned through the Global Premiere Commissioning Consortium. The cycle makes use of archival recordings of poems, recited by authors themselves: Akhmatova, Hesse, Pasternak and W.B.Yeats. Performed on November 13, 2019 at the Moscow Autumn Festival at the Moscow House of Composers by Maria Sadurdinova (piano) and Alexander Khubeev (fixed audio). Russian Premiere.
