Thank you for covering this topic! It's fascinating and not well enough known, IMO.
Now this is a series im interested in
I’m so excited for this series I know nothing about the Haitian rev

I love seeing the start of a new series!
Please do more of these kinds of videos
I think I didn't waste my time learning so much history in UA-cam.
I read the black jacobins by CLR James. People who want to know how the slaves defeated the greatest European expedition ever should read this book.
I love Haitians independence. I am so excited!
I hope extra credits covers the bad in both sides. However they are known for bias unfortunately.
For those who don’t know, after the Haitians become independent they burned the entire nation. All plantations and infrastructure. It economically crippled them and they still deal with it today.
One of the most interesting and unique revolutions in the world. Happened roughly at the same time as the revolution against the Ottoman rule in my native Serbia and bearing some interesting parallels with it (albeit with the skin color rather than religion being the main rallying factor although the real divide was largely social/judicial in both cases). Can't wait for the sequels, with rise and fall of Francois Toussant Louverture. Keep up the good work 👍.
Really looking forward to this, had to do some research on this topic for an assignment.
Highly recommend the book "The Common Wind" about the currents of news through slave communities
