  • We attended the Astolat Model Railway Exhibition in Guildford and were really inspired by the model railway layouts we saw. We loved Nove Mesto and Simon was delighted to have a chance to drive a train on it. We also really enjoyed Trinity Dock St Bridge, which was unlike any layout we had seen before, with so many entrances and exits for trains on such a small layout. It was fascinating to watch and see where the little sentinel shunters were going to emerge next. Simon purchased a Metcalfe card kit from one of the traders and we will be making a video about him building it soon.
We hope you enjoy our video.

Another great video Simon, good on you mate.
The layouts had a variety of scales that are pretty rare to find in the model train shop. The Lego one in particular was most interesting as it was an extremely creative layout. I recently saw at Puffing Billy railway a complete replica of the train itself crossing the monbulk creek trestle bridge. It was mostly made from components from the new Lego Hogwarts Express display model for LEGOLAND in the Chadstone shopping centre.
    Keep your steam up Simon.
    Goodnight.

I appreciate all the effort the two of you put into your hobby. Thanks for the great view of some amazing layouts of different gauges. I understood most of the labels but HOe and 3mm had me stumped. I never knew there were that many Lego Train sets now. I think the only thing missing was the Hogwarts Express on the Viaduct. Brilliant work as always.

Thanks! Yes 3mm and HOe are not very common. I've read about them in model magazines before, but not seen many layouts in those scales before.
