a mechanic in kenya, just hit it back to the reference marks and weld it, you will be now having one of the most robust m274, m270 ever built by yourself, i became famous and rich in doing that now that the problem is with almost 99% of all the production that has that engine, you can't believe it but there is one of mercedes skyline that uses m274 2.0 also they face same shit . good luck
Camshaft tone ring shifted. Is there an alignment marking on the camsaft to tone wheel? M276 engine some, not alll have alignment mark. Pressed in tone wheel, no spot welding at all to secure tone wheel, so sad. Thanks for the video, nice🎉
So there is not an alignment mark, so it is almost impossible to do some spot welding. is possible if you have a good one there in person and make your own marks and do some spot welding.
Hey man. When you installed the new camshafts and was timing the engine again, did you just use the timing tool, and torque everything? or did you have to move the TDC back a little to tighten down the camshaft adjusters? I heard some people say you have to move the crank back a few degrees when tightening the camshaft adjusters because they won't be in time properly.
@@KP-kz4os probably they changed the gear only, or in your area dealers are still honest with customers. In our case the client came with an estimate of 10k ))

@@ThreeBizz ok noted, thank you
@@ThreeBizz Where did you go, why did you stop filming?
These timing disks are known to move on other Mercedes engines including the V6 and V8. I welded my ones to the camshaft to stop this happening to me.
Hello Threebizz, thanks you for you video, is so helpful 🙏
Hello! Thanks for a very informative video! How long will it take for the discs to shift again, or did you already put welded ones on?

hi, where is the location of the mass air flow sensor?
How much do you charge for job like this ?
Good job 👍🏻
It should be tack welded from the factory!
Instead of spending thousands of dollars on new parts, that may also have the same issue, why not just tap the reluctor disc forward a few degrees?
P001685 C63S
Mercedes charged me $5,947.08. Parts (2,635.08), labor (3,312.00)
