I bought one years ago when it first came out. Loved the kit and assembled with care and love. :) Flew it on its maiden flight and no ejection charge! Arched over beautifully and went strait into the ground! When I got over to it there was a large rock, the only one in the entire field! It hit dead square on and demolished the nose cone and creased the body tube. It has sat ever since in its broken state. Until this last week as a matter of of fact! I did some very basic repairs and have a new nose cone on the way. Repainted the body and we will see if it flies ugly as it is. :) Good video love watching it!
Leave out the engine clip and engine block. Install Estes PN9751, then you can use higher grain number 24mm cases. For less rod whip, get rid of the launch lug and use rail buttons. Check stability first, with the swing test or add nose ballast until stablized.
My sister just sent me one of these after I took her boys out for a launch day. It's my first 24mm kit, and I can't wait to get it in the air. Thanks for the preview!
Im a newb to rockets...why does this big rocket have such a tiny motor? like its diameter seems huge to have a tiny motor? why is the entire body tube not a motor?
Friggin Flames are backwards and you should have painted the nose cone red! Not bad for a rookie though! 👍 It wasn't the rocket, the wind, or the launch pad, ..... it was just under powered! 🤣 You should have known this and compensated! You don't do justice to the rocket or rocketry! 👀

Would love if you did a painting tutorial or technique video.
Wow, that's a pretty impressive rocket! Love your vids, keep them coming.
I have the original Big Daddy when it only used C11 to D12 motors when it was painted black, red and yellow.
Still waiting to build mine! Great video!
reminds me of Sid's rocket at the end of Toy Story
Lol
Do you need an LEUP to launch high power nowadays? NAR website says you don't, anywhere else says you do.
Enjoyed!!!! Regards from New Zealand Keep them coming !
Once again Great video! Did you fill the tub spirals? Looks great after paint!
Thanks! Nope, just loads of paint and sanding.
how big of a parachute blanket did you have. I'm building a big daddy right now, painting currently, and am thinking 9in (22cm)
You have to be certified?
Just got one of these guys. cant wait to fire it up
Very nice video, I think I might pick me up one as well, once I get through my current build que.
Thanks! They're pretty cool! :)
