A pencil for folks who erase often (artists, students)- I've really enjoyed most of Pentel's affordable pencils, and they're an easy recommendation to artists and students alike!
I love how lightweight they are compared to so many other mechanical pencils. My only minor complaint is that the pencil is too short or the clip is too long, because when it's turned toward my hand, the tip nudges my hand, which is kind of annoying. And I have small hands for an adult. A kid would probably not have this problem.
I just tried it out, and you're right! It doesn't have quite as much cushion as the Icy, but it's definitely a great pencil for folks who need to erase often (so me, in math class)
I've been using these pencils for over 4 years now. They're my go-to now since I can no longer get the PaperMate Quick Flip pencils. They do the job fine.

The Pentel Twist Erase GT is basically this pencil but has the grip like the pentel icy. I know you like that grip so i thought id mention it

Can you recommend a mechanical pencil to use with colored lead for drawing?
