Totally agree with you. The older I get and more complicated life gets, the less time I have to devote to researching stocks. I have adopted a much simpler approach as well.
Thanks, Ian! I added quite a few shares of $RTX at 83-84 level as well. Very rare opportunity for me since the bulk of my position was bought back in 2020 at 50-60 level. Long $RTX!
The way you rattle off your disclosures from memory is impressive! As is your consistency in putting out these videos. Thanks for the best thug life dividend investing videos on youtube 😎
Thanks so much for sharing Ian. I am increasing my exposure to SCHD and its sister International Dividend ETF SCHY. Seems like the approach is much the same so I am putting about 10% of my total investment in that ETF.
Hey Ian, thanks for sharing. I can relate with the husling pace on your job, I am being aggressive on my career to get as much capital as possible so I can invest more
thanks for the insight as always, my life has also become more busy. pretty much all I have done recently was put money into stocks I already have in my portfolio when the numbers looked decent enough to do so
Ian, I am so happy for you. Thanks for the update. Not even the stocks, but your family is well. You might like SVOL. It it similar to XYLD, volatility.. .32/month $23sh. I'm working a lot as well my friend. Stay hydrated, and make money! I know you do the storage garage work right? I'm a union Ironworker. If you have a tall building I'd be in that crew. Structural. This is a time to make money. The S&P average goes up before elections.
Thanks so much for your very kind words, my friend! Thanks for your longtime support, since the very early days!!! I hope you and yours are doing great too. Thanks for sharing SVOL, I'll have to take a look. Yep - working on storages/commercial real estate. Agree it's a great time to work hard!!! Wishing you much success, and thanks again!
Thank you for the reply. SVOL is basically a monthly DIV on volatility. I'm slowly getting in. I'm also up CME 16% in about a month. It is a derivative fund. Nice DIV as well. I hope the best. Thank you for your time making videos. @@ppcian
My teenage daughter and I both added about 10 shares of RTX on Tuesday. Stocks are a weird thing to bond over, but my other choices are makeup and Korean K-pop bands.
sounds like a good plan I was wondering why RTX was down I was going to dig into this tomorrow but glad you explained the problem I'm long RTX I have enough invested into this so I will just hold what I have and not buy more wish you well with your plan sounds like a winner
Thanks for being here for all these years! Always appreciate your comments. Was digging into the financial impact of the RTX engine issue, and it seems to me that the stock has over-reacted. Of course, just my personal opinion, however, and not investment advice. Wishing you all the greatest! (Disc: I'm long RTX)
The KISS principle is alive and well with me too. I think the community would like to hear what you are going to do with the JNJ/KVUE spinoff, now that a date has been set. I am still mulling it over...any thoughts?
Hi Ian! Thank you for you work. I remember that you told once ,that you invest in real estate. Can you tell us about it, what% of the portfolio it takes and in general your thoughts about investing in real estates?
I don't agree with #1 and 3. I can see why you put number 3 on your list, "spend little time as possible," cuz you are buying #1, SCHD. If you don't want to spend any time monitoring your portfolio, why not just put money into IRA or mutual funds. Investing, you need to be a little proactive.
I usually only buy once per month, since my broker has a high fee on foreign stocks. I tend to look at what I have high conviction in, and buy one of them. If I’m down on one, it tends to be that one I buy. I was down on schd for some time, but it shot up past 75, so I’m still debating what my next purchase will be in the beginning of august 😊
I have a portion of my portfolio as streamlined as you described. It is in M1 and I set my target allocation and the automatic transfers and dividends get allocated to things that are underweight. If things get too out of whack I will either adjust the target % or hit the rebalance button. It is even less work than you walk through 😁. And roughly the same result. I imagine you might have some tax consequences if you were to move and rebalance your portfolio at this point, but it is something to think about if you really want to streamline things
Problem with RTX long-term is not a thousand engines, but the brewing conflict in Washington regarding how much money Pentagon is spending. All contractors started with pretty bad margins, so to get better margins they have boosted the prices to ridiculous levels. In some cases from a few dollars to thousands or more. So far this problem has only gotten worse, or should I say better, for the military contractors, who makes more and more money year after year. Maybe it continues for another 30 years, but I wouldn't bet on it.

RTX is one of my favorite dividend stocks!! Bought some on that dip last week also

Great video thank u, What are your thoughts on the FTEC ETF?
Onward we go!

Having the behaviour down is key. Then picking schd vdm whatever is just icing on the cake. Automatic deposits work best.
Thanks for sharing! Agree that automated investing is so powerful! (Disc: I’m long SCHD)

Love this!
Thank you!

Thank you!
A vid on JNJ & KVUE would be a good idea.
Great suggestion! (Disc: I’m long JNJ)
It has been a great time recently to pick up dividend stocks ❤️
I agree! Truly look forward to it each week. Wishing you a great one.
The KISS principle is alive and well with me too. I think the community would like to hear what you are going to do with the JNJ/KVUE spinoff, now that a date has been set. I am still mulling it over...any thoughts?
Wondering the same. Wish I would have sold the last few spinoffs from Realty income (ONL) and Pfizer (Viatris). Both have been nothing but a drag
Always appreciate your comments, my friend! Definitely plan to share some thoughts on JNJ/KVUE soon! Wishing you an amazing week! (Disc: I’m long JNJ)

How do I keep up with you daily ? I like your thought process
Careful
You should buy MMM, it's on it's way back to 200 over the next 3 years so that is like 33% rate of return for the next 3 years, plus dividends.
Ha. There is a VERY long road ahead for 3M.
@@bjjfreak8261 You don't like to buy low? What do you like to buy?
I hope you are right! I needed the capital for a different purpose, but otherwise would have held. Love 3M! Wishing you all the greatest.
@@Jeffs60 LOL. I own A LOT of 3M shares and I am reinvesting at these low prices, but not buying.
Texas instruments took a dip too.

THe clowns in Washington will always spend on companies like RTX in my opinion.
