  • From their TOUR16-17 FROM DEPRESSION TO______ [mode of DUM SPIRO SPERO].
Vermin requested this specific performance a while ago and I finally got around to translating the song (also in context of the video I uploaded before this one) so here it is. I know it took some time, but I hope you like it!
    Translation by me.
Annotations for tsumi to batsu ("sin and punishment"):
蜜と唾 actually reads "mitsu to tsuba" and means "honey and saliva". However the characters are usually mirrored and would therefore suggest a reverse reading: "tsumi to batsu", which means "sin and punishment".
"Patrick Lennon" - A UK teacher who encouraged child rape.
"Infection" - Also translatable as "contagion".
"Rain of violation" - First I was going to put "Rain of disgrace", since the Japanese word is often in context used to just mean "insult", but since it does have the nuance of rape (which makes sense in the song's context) I decided that "violation" has enough of both.
For the Tour2011 AQA performance of this song have a look at: • DIR EN GREY - THE BLOS...
    ---------------
I do not own Dir En Grey or any of their music or performances.
I translate for fun and wanted to share this translation.
    Thank you for watching!

This performance really matches the tone of this song. These lyrics are easily some of Kyo's darkest. Thanks for subbing!

The original lyrics are way more explicit and disgusting imo, he's just throwing out concepts here because that's more screamable

This performance sounds so different from the others. I really love the ending and I've never heard it before thank you!
Edit: Just read the description and I should've guessed Vermin suggested it, I see that dude around on here a lot and they have good taste lmao.

A great and very interesting song in my opinion, and of course a well done translate :)
And about INFINITUM, a like Nurebairo, Uso, Tada..., Kimi wa... And guuzou. It's an interesting album, but not the best.
I hope you have a nice week, greetings! :)

I guess that’s what you can achieve after over 10 years of growling

@@valdemar6980 wouldn't want to bother anyone by reviving this, but does growling/screaming improve over time as you keep doing it? just curious

@@louangel266 You can hear how his scream/growling vocals evolved over time. “Zan” from the debut album, and the original versions of Hydra and Rasetsukoku from Macabre being his earliest examples of high screaming and screeches.
“ZOMBOID” and “Bottom of the death valley” from Kisou (2002) are the first few songs where he began the use of low growls, and they improved a lot over the next releases.
“Shokubeni” and “Obscure” (Vulgar) -> “Garbage” (Withering to Death) -> “Lie Buried With a Vengeance” (The Marrow of a Bone) -> “Gaika Chinmoku” (Uroboros), and the rest is history.
So all in all it took him about a decade to perfect his screaming, and 6/7 years of experience to growl the way he does now.

@@1kiloh I think he properly trained the technique between TMOAB and Uroboros, because Uroboros is completely different in terms of his growls.

Good video! You should translate saku from the nippon budokan 2016, maybe tefutefu, or berry! Good work.

The song's lyrics were regulated because it was modeled after a real incident. So what you're hearing on Spotify is the post-regulation rebuilt version.
