Before Covid the government spent a fortune doing an independent review of why high street fail. After a massive review over the whole country which was very costly. It was stated Councils relentless use to restrict good road networks around town area's and inforce tight parking with high charges has lead to new generations to just not even attemp to ever use their local high streets. Basicly over the years your Councils greedy ways has done it.

Out of all those High Street Store Brands shown in the opening, today only John Lewis remains. BHS was the most recent one to depart.
Replaced by a massive Primark
used to be free parking, i remember those days. pity the government has destroyed the country now.
Still free to park near the theatre district. Not for much longer though I suspect.
1 year later, still 3 hours free parking near theatre .
