Spoiler - The only way to kill Muzan was to weaken him by getting him to devour flesh poisoned with a special multi-stage anti-Muzan poison, then throwing enough people at him to get him into the sun. And even then Tanjiro had to do a Power of Friendship to DOUBLE Kill Him.

I know that the higher level demons arent as effected by it, but it still has a effect if you coat your blade with it.
