TFS! One of my biggest fears is failure and people talking about me! It's a hard fear to overcome, especially after several ventures of not being able to succeed in what I wanted to do! I'm physically disabled now and really want to start some different ideas to help others in my situation...letting go of this fear will be the biggest obstacle and the best thing to finally release me from this hold and be able to finally achieve my goal!!
I'm just working on a business project after being a stay at home mom for 16 years. It's like you're helping me specifically! The word I chose for my 2019 is "serendipity" and, boy, this IS like stumbling over treasure! Thanks so much and I will be watching out for video nr2!!
Hi Melissa! I have been one of your followers for a while now on my personal channel. You really inspire me and get me off my butt to clean haha.I just recently started an organization and UA-cam channel to help people who are blind and visually impaired like me, my husband, and our son to help people get the resources and education they need to live accessible lives. In the next week or two I will be posting a video about tips on cleaning when you're a blind person. I will definitely be quoting you and linking to your channel! Ask for business ideas, how do you balance your homelife especially with a baby and soon to be toddler and business? especially since I'm just starting up, I find it really difficult and would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Wonderful vid. Life and life circumstances held me back, especially over the summer. Thru my faith, I held on what was left. I have no doubt, that He had a hand in my news feed. From barely being able to stand, long term or walk, to having urge to do and to plan. "Urge to Purge". During what would be, known as the hardest summer, I became doing and seeking. My news feed filled with your videos or Cass ClutterBug. You both, and Gillian Perkins, became more inspiration to me, than yahll ever know. Your videos inspire me, with newness, freshness, and crispness you bring. Thank you. And now this, wow. How awesome. I'm diggin the new content idea, can't wait to see what else is in store. Beautiful branding (btw). Thank you
Yes, this was so inspiring for me, so thank you for posting! I have been procrastinating about working out, even though I need to lose 45 pounds, and I think it's because I'm afraid of succeeding. I don't know why but have been told that before. I will definitely start now because of your great tips and encouragement. The encouraging thoughts are probably what I needed most! Have a great day~
"Our greatest fear is not that we are weak. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." Paraphrased from a great quote I love. Basically it says that playing it small serves no one, if you let your line shine it gives others permission to let theirs shine. We were not born to play it small. Greetings to you from a fellow South African.
Thanks for the inspiration Melissa, I've been doing some research for a business I want to start. I haven't told anyone yet, because I'm afraid they would just shoot me down or think it. It IS very scary, but I'm taking it slow and trying to make sure I don't miss anything.
You forgot Fear of Success. Many people are actually afraid that success in one venture cannot be sustained long term. They become anxious from the idea that they will need to meet high expectations all of the time.
I need to stop procrastinating also and face my fears and thanks for the inspiration and by the way love your vids I could listen to your beautiful voice all day.
The thing holding me back is my introverted nature. So when looking at business ideas I want to do something where I have a minimum of interaction with other people. e.g. no retail. The ideal business for me is something online but the introvert in me is even anxious about putting myself out there to that extent. If I can think of an awesome idea that I'm truly excited about then maybe that will help overcome it but I'm struggling to do that.
No, I get it. You have this private part of you and you want to fiercely protect it. You never know whose scratch your music will itch though, and if you never try, you'll never know. What a big move for you, see it through!
Hey, I like this new style of video very different but I like it - looking forward to the coming videos - I guess my fear that I am dealing with right now is security- getting ready for the first time move out of my home town and leaving my home of 25 years to start a homestead and expanding my ministry to now include employees so ya- it is a BIG LEAP of FAITH for not just me but my family too - so a lot of changes but I am trusting God about it all - thank you for the new series and it is right on time for me and my families move-be blessed 0:)-
🐙 🐙 Thank you for this video Melissa ❤️🙏🏼 Love your tips on procrastination 😁 My mother in law always says “Procrastination is the theft of time!” I’m gonna start implementing your tips into my life 🙏🏼👌🏼
:) I am better off without the jitters. Thank you. I understand the confidence piece. We are our own best advocates, and people with confidence have learned how to believe in themselves. That was a big lesson for me!
I get you on the caffeine free-ness. I went 100% caffeine free on June 21, 2014. I’ve always been sensitive to it, and it gave me migraines that would later morph into aura migraines. I gave it all up except, chocolate. Chocolate has always been an even bigger intolerance for me since first trying it as a toddler. Upon consuming any form, I would get dizzy, my stomach would cramp to where I was doubled over, and it would all come back...violently...even through the nose, and in my tear ducts. I limited my intake as I grew up, used the “illness” to my advantage, ie consuming it to intentionally make myself sick to get out of doing things. But, on June 21, 2014 I had the worst reaction to date. I thought I cracked a rib from the purging being so violent. My chest was sore and bruised for a week later. My esophagus, throat and uvula were raw. That day I told myself _Enough_ ! I haven’t had tea, coffee, sodas, chocolate, or any other caffeine containing items since then. I watch my family whom consume caffeine every day in some form, and I think to myself _It really is a drug_ . I’ve tired to explain to others that, yes, there is caffeine in migraine medication, and that it can help others but, for _millions_ *it* is a trigger for them too. I’ve even been called out on YT for telling others that it can be a trigger; that I’m an idiot. 🤷🏻♀️ I think I, and again, _millions_ of others know how things effect them. Yes, it’s odd how foods can effect one person and not the next but, that’s just how it is. 🤓 ♥️
No self confidence which combines with fear. When I was younger I loved to draw and wanted to be an art teacher for lower grades. Unfortunately I was always put down by my parents - -especially my father who had other ideas for my future. I was always compared to my brother who was in honor classes and after college was hired by IBM as a computer programmer. We are very close for he told my parents that I had different talents. I ended up in a Business School. My husband had a craft room build for me so I could continue what I love to do. So that is what has held me back. After watching your videos, I am cleaning. Decluttering things around my house. Tidying up before I go to bed. Even put the pots and pans that I washed after dinner. In fact my husband just asked me last night what I was doing in the kitchen and what I was straightening up. It has been a difficult year for me. After 29 years I was terminated from my job after a new company took over. Then my husband had an extensive hip revision in Oct. So I am his Care giver. He works from the house. I use to live in the suburbs of Buffalo New York. My husband and I (even when we were dating) would go over to Canada. Thank you for all you videos.
Wow Sue, so much is happening right now. Sometimes these seasons of change open new doors for us. It sounds like you might have something exciting around the corner. And kudos for making cleaning efforts. That's NEVER easy! 🤗
That's a valid concern. I would say to open your eyes and ears up and start asking the universe to send you NEON signs about what you are supposed to be doing. Then, just listen...

laziness
How to detach from judgement from others, and staying driven when others try to tear you down
And sometimes, recharging is the best thing you can do because pushing yourself when you're on the brink of burning out will never work!

No money
