What I feel about this album is that Yesung is trying his best to show us his "artist" side, rather than his "idol" side. He doesn't ask us to support or to love the album, all he asks is just to enjoy the art works. 💙

His voice is ART. Love that there are so many layers to his vocal : rasp , husk, cry ,whine ,sweetness, emotion ,sombre modulation, displaced and placed vibrato , pitch and speed variable vibrato ,warm falsetto ,resonance ,alternated phrasing...the list is never-ending. He's a genius.
LOL i don't know any of those you mention. I just know for a common people like me who don't have any basic in singing knowledge. He never stop amaze me whenever i hear him singing. His voice enter to ears friendly but the emotion and interpretation hit to the heart on point even though i did not understand it lyrics.

That is the most important thing .He is so emotive and captivating that I don't really pay attention to his technique or modulation or ornamentation when he sings ..I just feel ...^^It was just my small observation-adoration post. Something I realised after many hours of listening and re-listening of his music.

@@Anybodyandnobody Yes, I am afraid there are so many variables and terms pertaining to vocal technique and music and I know they may sound alienating or too fancy ...but I am pretty sure that all of this is so deeply ingrained in Yesung that he's doing it unconsciously without a second thought. He's just natural and feels very genuine when he 'emotes '.

'Corazón perdido (Lost heart)' canción compuesta por el músico de indie rock Black Skirts, Ryan Colt Levy entre otros, con participación de Yesung en algunos arreglos, tiene la melancolía y las letras tristes que combinan perfectamente con la emotiva voz de Yesung. Corazón perdido contiene sonidos de brit pop en los que sobresalen el piano y una guitarra con un torno rockero al final, nos va contando el vacío que se siente cuando una relación termina, transmite mucho dolor que viene acompañado de las palabras mágicas en español: “Oh, mi corazón". Yesung mencionó que le costó grabar la canción no solo porque tenía que cantarla en falseto sino porque quería que fuera perfecta, un motivo más para valorar y amar la canción.
