VIOLENT Winds in a Tornado Warned Microburst! Fredericksburg, VA June 2021

I intercepted a destructive supercell thunderstorm with 95mph+ winds in Fredericksburg, Virginia and took shelter in a gas station as buildings were ripped apart nearby. The National Weather Service surveyed the area and said the damage came from "straight line" winds, not a tornado. These destructive winds are not as well known as tornadoes, but can be just as damaging!

If a microburst was that strong I would give the storm a ef 2 because winds seem like they are 115-130 mph not 95+

Strong gust of down drafting winds. It can cause planes to drop out the sky

It was an ef2 I was like 8 minutes away and got an ef2 tornado warning hitting my area and I was just 8
