thinking about going to uni next year, I'm more excited about the nightlife and the whole social aspect of university. I want to make good friends, hoping the academic side of Birmingham university is good. what was the campus like for you?
ua-cam.com/video/59oqWuzxYtU/v-deo.html - Hi guys, since I’ve had some questions on how I chose my university I’ve decided to create a video to help you guys. Hope this helps address your questions.
It is diverse to an extent but this does need to be improved upon. They have widening participation initiatives to improve diversity. I lived in a partnered accommodation Liberty living - Queen’s hospital close. I really enjoyed living there !!
But yes I have also just paid ridiculous amounts for accommodation at UoB. Idk what to do myself lol, I have a few days until my contract becomes locked...
@@karthikln669 I studied an undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham so I won’t be able to offer insight about their postgraduate degrees. I also did a History and Political science degree so I won’t be able to tell you what a finance degree is like at the University of Birmingham.
Will you be paired with the same students for a seminar within a certain module? Or do you just get a new weekly timetable? Where everyone is reshuffled. Sorry for the weird question. I'll be joining the university in a few months, I know nothing about it.
From my experience, the modules you choose will determine your timetable. My timetable changed every semester and sometimes some modules may only last one semester and not the whole academic year. Your seminars usually include people who take the same module and attend the lectures. However, it is usually a smaller group of people at seminars. Students can sometimes be from different courses. For example, I studied a Double honours degree in History and Politics so I attended both history and politics lectures. Some students studied International relations and we would sometimes attend the same politics or international relations lecture.
Which one according to you is better for MSc Management? University of Leeds or University of Birmingham? I want to know if the University of Birmingham is good for business management courses.
@@goofii_shreya hey hi shreya! In what all universities did you apply for this course? Can we talk a bit about all this as I'm really confused whether which uni to choose and it's getting really late now. How can we connect?
@@MayankYadav-vj5il I did not study MSc management at Birmingham so I would not able to give you much insight into this. Choosing a university should be your choice and it depends on what you look for in a university.
Hey I got in conditionally to Durham Birmingham and Coventry... Still waiting on Warwick and Edinburgh.... How's the uni of Birmingham when it comes to international students??? Great vid btw! Also which uni should I go to???
Thank you for your support. I can not decide which university you should attend. You will need to make that decision yourself. It is important to do some research on the Universities and see if they have virtual open days. In addition, you may want to think about the course, modules, location and social life. This is not an exhaustive list but may help you find what matters to you. At the University of Birmingham, there is support for international students. They also have a video on their youtube channel titled - Life as an international student at Birmingham.
@@JustFrankie- thanks a ton for responding and the video.... Yeah I've been researching and stuff just kinda hard to make a final decision cos every university has pros and cons...which unis did you get into?
@@advaithkaushik665 It can be a big decision to make I do understand. Speak to people, read reviews, look at the modules for the course you would like to study at each university and that may help. I am not too sure but I believe I was accepted by University of Birmingham and Kent University. There may have been other unis but I can't remember.

How is the nightlife and is it quite different than London ?
Yes, it’s similar to London in terms of the vast amount of options there are. However, it is a lot more affordable.
