I used your tutorial and did these with an dark orange pair of pants. I am only two months into learning sewing, but they turned out nice. I made undetachable because I don't know how to do the buttons right now, or I don't have the right ones or something. Thank you for the tutorial.

I was lazy and the glue is probably better anyway since its denim, it will hold better.

You would do it the same way except buy two pairs of jeans and use the legs for the top part from one pair. Then attach to the uncut jeans.
