I’m intrigued but since they’re kind of expensive I’d be seriously bummed if their performance degraded noticeably after a few months. I’m no Jack Sock so I wouldn’t be getting to play with new paddles after every tournament. Realistically, how long would this paddle perform as good as new in the hands of a 5 day a week 4.0-4.5 level player who rarely spikes paddles in fits of rage?

@GD-dv3uk unfortunately we can't speak for the long-term performance of the new Luxx Control Paddle as it hasn't been out long enough for us to give it a fair say. Knowing Selkirk, they will make a paddle that will last and perform for a long time! Don't forget Selkirk also has a lifetime warranty on the Luxx paddles.

I think you can just call Selkirk and tell them your upset with the spin degradation.. If I happens. They will replace I believe

@@dominionn09 I'm pretty sure "grit" degrading is NOT covered by anyone. Paint grit is notorious for not lasting.

it's spray on grit. it's going to wear off. same as the power air. BUT, a lot of the spin is generated by the dwell time/softness of the paddle , the way it absorbs the ball, so spin should remain decent even as grit wears down.
