They use them to move logs. I'm thinking with the right sea conditions you might roll it. Looks like it'll self right, but I don't think I'd want to be in it
I haven't seen one of those for years. Growing up in Southern Oregon there used to be sawmills everywhere. These boats were called "Log Broncs" and were used for moving logs around in sawmill ponds. Wow, I had forgot all about them! (And "wigwam burners", too)....
he's the bosses son. So he is the only one that gets to drive it. Boss lets him drive the boat hoping he will drown and it is the only place he can work and not cause a fight amongst the crew. But dod loves the rascal.
I suspect this boat has a pair of cute little Voith Schneider propeller drives. They look like small vertical canoe paddles that rotate in a circular pattern very fast. Sidewinder is a very fitting name for these boats when you consider how their drive paddle works
I would love to see this in Monaco harbor jelping these 100 million dollar yachts dock especially with this jolly man behind the controller apparatus thing
He is the saw mill owner's kid. All the other employees hate him. This is the only job the kid can do where he doesn't cause trouble. He was born that way, but he is the apple of his dad's eye, and dad loves him dearly.
That thing looks perfect for a base of ocean evacuation for storms that would raise water too high. Make a nice hemp plastic cabin a few times stronger than steel, cut back of exhaust to put an ultrasonic high pressure repel system, and a capacitor that charges off an alternator so when it rolls over it can blast ultrasound to prevent ocean from flooding into the exhaust if not enough pressure going out. Switch to duct style internal flow system and use flow pattern in and out of craft for extra stability in storms. Scenario: "Weather super bad hurricane evacuate recommended." People: "I don't have a shelter, I'm not running. I'm gonna go out in the sea so nothing to hit and log it." Me: *Sets engine shutters to throttle in all directions at half and listens to some heavy metal while holding on with race car seatbelts* That's not even using Ultrasound tech to fire pressure waves all the way around craft to repel water/lower pressure around. *Bites Apple and 😉at UFO's that dart into the ocean like it doesn't exist* Plasma Ultrasound highest resolution with lowest medium. Ocean bunch though..
No that's the bosses son driving the boat. It is the only job dad can give him to keep him from getting in real trouble. All the employees of the saw mill are mad at him, and want to drive that boat sometime. but Dad does love the kid, and he does seem happy.
That little teeny (tug boat) if u can call it that…,must have an incredible small Z drive to do everything he needs to do in the Harbor that he works at?!
I can't tell if he's really good or really bad at what he does. Adorable boat none the less lol.

That looks really fun!! I wanna ride!!!

Can you imagine 10-15 Somali pirates on one of these bobbing up to a tanker ship in the high seas?
Yes... Yes I can, and the picture is hilarious!🤣
try it with A.I.
This looks like something donald duck would drive
I imagine he wobbles around a bit when he gets back on land! 😂😂😂
Yeah true😂😂😂😂
-"Yaaaaar, still haven't got me land-legs on..."😂
Weeble's wobble but they don't fall down.
That's a water forklift 😂
"Cool contraption. What's it do?"
"You're lookin' at it"
The core strength of this guy just to stay in the seat. 10 Pack
Drank it by lunch!
Driving that boat is like trying to get 3 people who cannot make up their minds on where to go to eat.

So cool to see the prop shroud. They have one of these in a park display in Veterans Park in Gold Beach Oregon, Thanks for posting!
That's the guy who never grew up, but sheesh he was hella fun to be with!!

Brings back memories from Ostrom lumber in Pee Dee Oregon in the 80s
Wow been year didnt touch my rcboat, now seeing this kind of capability from an boat, i am amaze.
This looks like a fun job for a few months
Pusher boat!
We had those when I worked at the mill.
You wouldn't know the seas were flat-ass-calm by watching this guy run a boat
I would love to see this in Monaco harbor jelping these 100 million dollar yachts dock especially with this jolly man behind the controller apparatus thing
Does that whatever have a coffee cup holder?
Making use of the local drink driver! 😂😂 gets payed by the bottle 😊
What is a "drink driver"? I have heard of a "drunk driver" but not a "drink driver". Hahaha.
@@Tinkerbell227 sorry my bad on the spelling. Blame the auto correct . Have a great day.
@@edenbridgejunction7526 I just wanted to give you some fun ribbing. No harm intended, 😁.
Best job ever!

😀 What a funny little boat!
You get a paid trip to Hawaii, 5 star hotel and everything, but you have to take the trip from mainland USA on this boat
You could do a lot of damage really quick in a marina with that 😮
it is the weeble wobble of boats.
I am sorry, and pls excuse me, but what is this bobcat water thing?
Looks like a huge wash tub with a motor.

Is it a motorized bouy?
Hi. You can use shells from "nuss baum" for sandwiched furniture. In thime if you collect the you will hve a nomina wood mass without deforestation.
That looks like fun ! 👍
Dude, some people have the best jobs 😂
Is that a sea sick machine 😂
Adorable work boat😅
Looks like a powered buoy
This looks like it's made from a tractor supply tub.
When this boat's rockin,
Don't come knockin.
omg its so cute u want one in pink
Such a subtle beautiful dance for a handful of nudges
Is this a Voith Schneider drive prop?
No that's the bosses son driving the boat. It is the only job dad can give him to keep him from getting in real trouble. All the employees of the saw mill are mad at him, and want to drive that boat sometime. but Dad does love the kid, and he does seem happy.
@@johngillon6969 LMAO I worked at one of those places too
@@johngillon6969 that has nothing to do with what he asked….
You'd make a great fisherman ol' boy
That thing is nuts
huh.. i always thought they just used a bunch of cables, hooks and winches to move logs, this is pretty cool
this is what thrashing the bosses equipment looks like when you're a water log worker, lol.
Allmighty tiny cute boatwhat a beast!
Job requirement: Must be hammered at all times.
That's look fun
looks like a fun job lol
"Eine Seefahrt die ist lustig, eine Seefahrt die ist schön ..."😁

perfect job for an alcoholic. boss be like "man he sure can drive that thing"
I would be a menace during spring break at the Sandbar in lake Havasu with one of these things
This looks like way too much fun.....
...I'd like to see how this captain walks
Has anyone crossed the Atlantic with such a thing yet?
No
I m on one right now, halfway across the Atlantic. Day 465.
Seems really inefficient but looks fun to drive
I love Canadian Sports
Out here in the North West we just called them boom boats
Looks like fun
That little teeny (tug boat) if u can call it that…,must have an incredible small Z drive to do everything he needs to do in the Harbor that he works at?!
looked like a tiny wee wee warrior trying to get stuff done 🤣
I too would like to drive a milk float in this manner.
This boat must be Detroit Diesel engine. The noise remember.❤😊🚤🛥⚓️🎄😍👍🏻😊🙏🏻
Best regards and Mery Christmas!!❤😊
On the slops all day ,ha ha ❤😂
It’s like one of the bull rides from the Rodeo
He must have had too much Russian vodka. Adorable little thing.
It does more rocking than working.
Reminds me of kids toy boats. Lol.
that what I call rock the boat
when u get back on land u walk like jack sparrow
Do they have Voith-Schneider drives or how exactly does that work?
Yep at 50sec
Where was this on career day at school??
I would love to have that job😂
Seems like fun!
Hows the neck after ten years working there
2024, rumor has it he's still working that same log
What would happen if that thing actually flipped over?
Sink probably lol
Haha we used to steal them at night the keys were always inside. Rock it until the roof it touched the water.
Looks like the most inefficient natant that has been ever built but it still got a job. Love it.
Nautical forklift certified 🤣
Voith Schneider drive?
If I do something like that, I'll probably die from motion sickness.
I gotta have one ! 😂
That’s cool as hell 😂
Boom boat we use them at manke lumber in the puget sound!
When you work for someone else and use their machines, and don’t value your job, you get this.
Engine sounds very two-stroke diesely... if that's a Detroit I know what I'm spending my bonus on this year
What is going on here, what they trying to do?
Sounds like a Car Driver stepping on the Gas
Is he getting paid to do that? I'm actually jealous.
THAT LITTLE BOAT IS A LITTLE SEA BEE 🐝 BUT IT GETS THE JOB DONE.😊
When you just have to be a boat owner, but you've only got 50 quid, a scrap car and a lot of wood offcuts.
is there a point to all this or is he just moving around ?
I have no idea what this is but I want one
I need a turn on this
