Unlike swing spamming, hook swing requires skill
Dude, I play on PlayStation with some of the lowest controller sensitivity and I still can do an easy hook swing. It’s just that guy is one of those guys who used to complain about parrying until he learned to parry. Now he’s upset about hook swings and he’ll soon learn what a baby he is
It’s still nonsensical and it should be fixed if the make battlefront 3

@Commando Droid try turning the sense up a bit, I think u gotta do a 180 turn as you’re doing a swing. I ain’t doing that shit tho cus I’m too used to slow sense
@Commando Droid I prematurely turn my camera before I jump so then I can easily turn it around fully for a hook swing. So I run up, turn the camera 90 degrees (left or right, your choice), jump, turn another 90 degrees so then I'm looking back, and then swing. Another hard way to do it is to jump right at them, wait for your character's lightsaber to get behind their lightsaber, and then swing and would hit their hitbox behind their block, but this form is really hard so just do the other one.

It’s funny because on console , I’ve never got a complaint for winning with hook swings, yet the first time I ever played on PC, some 2 stack got mad when I beat them the first round, kept calling me a “hook swinger” like it was an insult, and tried teaming me😂

I love playing Battlefront 2 but dear god the amount of times I've been called racial slurs by these toxic players is disheartening. Wish there was a decent reporting system in the game.

There is something called controlled spamming. When you land so many jump attacks in a row that is control 'spamming' since you are pressing buttons lots, but in a controlled and skill way. Doubke parrying and trash talking cuz u press 2 buttons is ridiculous. These people need to not be so salty. Good upload reysious

actually it was bb-8 who tried to tell me mid fight I should fight bb-8 instead, but thats just bs, since I was fighting yoda, and got him to really low hp, why would I switch to bb-8 than(becasue NoobMaster is afraid of losing probably) NoobMaster and that Virbus guy are friends btw.

something i learned is that when you play as yoda you really need to take advantage of those jump swings because his default attack speed is much slower that most other lightsaber heroes.
with yoda you have to take advantage of everything xD

Back spamming is super easy to counter; apparently that kid didn’t know that.
One thing I love doing, though it sometimes work is that when I beat someone in a 1v1 or 4v4 and calls me trash or garbage, i respond with "Damn, imagine losing against a garbage/trash player, couldn't be me..."

I mean I pretty much killed him using only parry, abilities and one jump attack as a finisher with maul agains this luke the first round on kashyyyk and he didn't hit me once 😂 But yes I use jump attacks a lot, but that's not a reason to start crying like him imo.

I'm a controller player and I think I'm pretty decent at the the game but seeing that hook swing....you make it look so easy on pc but I bet it was hard doing for the first time.... I feel more motivated to be better!

How is double parry not stupid? Like imagine you get hit twice or even 3 times by dooku just becasue you did one swing and you already lost almost all your hp, and all becasue of one single swing.
Jump swings are literally just hitting your opponents back, it's just a more effective version of dodging behind someone lol, and compared to parry, which is pressing 2 buttons while standing still, jump swings are at least somewhat hard to get used to.
Also did you not notice how he first called me 'an idiot who only plays on parry' when I used parry, and once I used jump swings, he started blaming the jump swings.
@@Reysious You won’t get double parried if you dodge quickly after swinging (unless this game’s bullshit hit detection decides otherwise).
Hating on jump swings is completely warranted due to the fact that it’s a nonsensical maneuver. Parrying is a real life combat technique. Trying to jump over someone and hit their back midair would be stupid irl. We all know what happened when Anakin tried to jump swing on Mustafar. It just further adds to this game’s unrealistic combat, and I hate that.
I completely agree that he was being toxic and stupid by saying that you “oNly UsED JuMp aTTckS” or “OnLY uSe ParRy”.
@Louis Masiello you wouldn't fight with lightsaber irl would you? use force powers and or parry force powers? Also how would you dodge behind someone in a real life fight to hit them in the back? Just please whatever you do, do not try to compare bf2 saber combat with real life fightng to defend or argue about certain mechanics that's just stupid and almost like comparing the moon to the sun lol.
@@Reysious there are swords with similar weight/length aspects to lightsabers irl, so we can use those as a comparison.
I also said in my previous comment that it “adds to this game’s unrealistic combat system”. I acknowledged the fact that it’s unrealistic already. Hook swings take it to a whole new level. At least sidestepping movements are somewhat realistic, but hook swings are utter bullshit.
@VeryInspired First of all, I’m not talking about balance, I’m talking about which is a better more realistic combat maneuver (not to say parries are unbalanced, they are mostly balanced and could be perfect with a few minor tweaks).
Secondly, it’s not hard to beat someone, even high levels, without parries.
Thirdly, if you’re gonna ask me whether I can win without parries (I can, I actually picked it up quite recently and did fine before I knew how to do it well), you should ask yourself if you can do the same without hook swings.
Tbh you are a bit toxic too. But I can't blame you during these toxic BF2 times
