triple tactic thrust searchs give and take.(even if your opponent doesn't use monsters, you can summon c40 on opponent field and since its trigger effect is mandatory regardless if there s any string counters on field or not, triple thrust won t feel like a dead draw) Main issue would actually be having a reason to put nightmare in grave instead of something else during combo
No, it can literally be any lv8 you can easily summon (like a horus). I just used terror baby because its the one that ask for most thing to do (aka its a LV4 so gotta make it LV8)

Using Horus as rank 8 engine is a good choice.
I think a small horus package with more non engine is better
