when you game starts to crash and i will hapen afther a while when you do this just repeat the proces, start Original launcher go to pramaters scroll down find the box bulldozer activate (click the box) so its checked enter game, when you enter game and it loads in exit game,
go to same box bulldoze and uncheck it then start game in window mode it shud work if you have same problems as i do. Easy fix worked for 3 of my mates now.

Want the real content of this video?
    1. update graphics drivers - Anyone who builds a gaming computer, will do this anyway...
    2. update sound drivers - Ironically, there is a rare bug where the Windows version of the Realtek driver actually causes the game to crash. So updating the sound driver like the Video suggests may actually cause a problem, funnily enough, if you don't disable updates for the sound drivers, your shiny (and functional) Realtek driver will be over written by the windows version of the same software next time it connects to the internet. Apparently Microsoft thinks it can write a sound driver for a realtek card better than the manufacturer. Spoiler alert: they cant.
    3. Verify integrity of game files - Ok, maybe will work sometimes. This game corrupts itself every-time there's an update, so, give this a go.
    4. Compatibility mode and run as admin - There are some reports that this can fix some problems, but don't hold your breath... Think about WHY this might work... that's the calibre of Bohemia... As for run as admin? You needed admin privilege to install it, if the files you need weren't sorted at install the game would never run, running it as admin won't fix it, if it does, show me where the developers live, so I can go beat them over the head myself.
    5. update windows - If your computer is connected to the internet, because you want to play DayZ, it will be updated already. You have to go out of your way to stop windows from updating...
    6. Install Direct X - How have you got windows running at all without Direct X??? Genuinely interested how...
    7. Manually install C++ redis. files - Steam does this for you, waste of time...
    8. Strip down your startup - You're not really a gamer unless you're already doing this...
    9. surface scan - meh, maybe it'll help if you're using a hard drive from 1935
    10. Reinstall the game - such a dumb indictment of both steam and bohemia, but hey, why not, it'll give you a chance to cool down after the last unexpected game crash, but be advised, 99% of the time, this does NOTHING to fix the problem. Also, it's currently around 18Gb, so make of that as you wish.
    11. Reinstall Windows - Yikes, if this really is the problem, stop browsing dirty websites, your computer is not a prostitute. Also, for many people this is A) to hard, and B) won't fix the problem.
Other things to check that might fix the problem?
    1. Google how to delete crash logs and report files for DayZ. Every-time the game crashes, or even runs, it'll generate log files and other state storage files. I suspect the game at least loads a list of these files every-time it runs, so delete them periodically. There are scripts people have written to do this, but it's not that hard to figure out, look for files with the extensions RPT, log, mdmp, under the local users ..\AppData\Local\DayZ folder
    2. Don't use WiFi with this game. The lag will destroy your gaming experience. The network layer implementation is horrific and will crash the game repeatedly for no good reason with even the smallest amount of lag introduced by a local WiFi network. Plug your machine directly into your modem if possible. So many problems can be immediately fixed by doing this.
    3. Don't run this game on a slow hard drive. If you have an SSD for windows and an older spinning disk for game files, move all of DayZ to the SSD, this also eliminates a ton of random crashes.
    4. The error trapping for the graphics implementation for this game is written by a kindergarten drop out. It's as though, if your graphics card fails to render 1 frame, it will crash the game. Maybe it's time to buy a new card with less dry joints in it. Just sayin.
    5. close background apps - Seriously, it's probably Discord. Discord is a pile of software crap using over bloated libraries for basic functionality. It's a shit show and more than likely the main cause of your problems.

Since you seem to know what you’re talking about,my first 30 minutes of dayz was perfect and then it started to stutter and freeze for half a second and every time I close my inventory its freezing. What would you do?

    • @Robnoxious77
      @Robnoxious77 3 місяці тому +1

@@TheGhost-sl5gh Here are some things you can try:
The developers often mention on their support forum that the character profile files can become corrupt, along with local game state files.
To remove these, use the verify game files option in steam, this will open a custom DayZ uninstall message box, check the settings and options checkbox. Then click next. DayZ will delete your settings files, then steam will verify the game files, then the next time you run it, steam "should" restore your settings from the cloud, otherwise the game will just regenerate them from scratch next time you start it.
I suggest this first, because you say it stutters, and then freezes when closing your inventory. The game might be having trouble writing to local profile files, or, it may not have read/write permission anymore to those files.
This may be an instance where running the game as Admin might help, but generally, that only works if the game completely fails to load. I suspect this is caused by doing a file verification after running steam as admin, where file permissions get a bit screwy.
I am currently only able to run mine as admin, because windows thinks the firewall rules have already been created, despite me removing them at some point, so now my game won’t start unless I’m an admin, and it seems to only be a firewall issue in that instance.
The other thing that might help, is to bite the bullet and re-install the game. This will remove all the files, reinstall from scratch, this often fixes a bunch of weird file corruption issues. I have noticed that sometimes, between updates, some texture files will become corrupt, and not only does the patcher ignore them, but somehow the game file verify step misses then as well. One way to kind of force texture caches to reload is to run the game in "Bulldozer" mode, and then turn that off again. It's in the launcher settings, google it if you're not sure. The only sure way to fix corrupt game files is to reinstall the game from scratch (uninstall/reinstall).
Something to watch out for, is that sometimes windows defender gets a bit enthusiastic with poorly written software, like DayZ. Try adding as many of the DayZ folders to Defenders exclusion list, google "exclude folder from windows defender".
Another thing might literally be your hardware, like I said, do not run this game on a spinning disk drive (use an SSD instead), the latency from loading textures and the like will crash the game very reliably.
Also, the networking features are not tolerant to high network latency connections, so do not use wi-fi, the game will crash, even if you have excellent internet, with amazing frequency.
The game is also intolerant to frame drops due to faulty graphics cards or corrupted DirectX installs. My graphics card is a bit temperamental, sometimes I go days without a crash, other days I cant play for more than a few minutes before it crashes. Annoyingly, load tests on my graphics card have never found any issues, so, maybe it's your graphics card, but try to make replacing hardware your last option.
Windows system file checker tool (SFC.exe) and Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM.exe) can work sometimes for system file related issues, google how to use them. It'll probably save you reinstalling windows, which frankly I don't recommend, if these tools can’t fix it, it's proper F'd.
