Video shares how to make ocean drum from scrap. I have made a large 21 inch diameter ocean drum from scrap plywood, mdf and old bass drum head. The outer circular frame of drum has been made using plywood strips and joining them with fevicol, saw dust and wudfill. Two rings of mdf board have been used to fix the drum heads. The active side of the drum has been cut from old bass drum head whereas the other side has been cut from a thick shining plastic sheet used to cover the bedding mattress. Inside the drum 4 mm glass beads have been placed about 150 to produce the sound of ocean waves. The drum has been covered with masking tape and then painted using blue acrylic paint. This ocean drum is just awesome. The music can be used to produce the sound of ocean waves in guided meditation sessions.
