I had a dog who was an escape artist out the front door but only on my husband as I was onto the dog’s tricks. One day I noticed that the dog was missing shortly after hubby had taken the trash out and brought it to his attention. We have 4 dogs so it isn’t immediately apparent that one is not in the house. We go outside calling and walking a few doors down and my husband whistles for the dog. My husband’s whistle is extremely piercing and can be heard above a crowd at an arena at an NBA game. No dog. I opened the neighborhood app hoping someone had found him and sure enough a lady four doors down posted a picture feeding my dog outdoors. 😡 He is a glutton and well fed and the dogs had been fed just before he escaped. There’s also no way she couldn’t have heard us since we had walked within 100 feet of her house whistling and calling. Did the lady think that we were whistling for a child?

Reminds me of a little dog my aunt had, every time near dinner I would make sure that I had fed that dog plus a bigger dog so we could eat. Sure enough as soon as we sat down that damn dog came and went over to my aunt with those whinny eyes it was a chiawana or however you spell it. Kept trying to tell her the dog had eaten. She'd of course after looking at it ," oh look at him, must be starving ". I hated that dog. He ate more steak than I could get my aunt to eat and she needed it more than than that mutt did.

The principal in my Jr and Sr high had a oak desk that he would tell the first in line , bend over grab hold of that desk. No telling what it weighed but when that hand made bottom burner made contact , everyone picked it right up. He could melt a comb in ya back pocket.
