Girl, trust me, we are ALL anxious and paranoid af when it comes to our pets. I thought it would get easier with time, but it really never goes away, because the thought of them passing away is always in the back of your mind, especially because animals can be so fragile. If my cat doesn’t eat food as quickly as normal, I literally freak out thinking she is going to d i e, and that something is so wrong. But it really helps reminding myself that vets exist for a reason, and that A LOT of medications are now available for SOOO many disease. And the vets have likely seen so many cases before and know what to do. It helps my anxiety a tad bit when I try and give myself a pep talk. Definitely being the only parent of your pet is so much harder :( Sending much love x
Loving your vlogs as always and I feel like you are getting back to yourself and it’s feeling more natural again. Plus I just love following along. And in regards to our fur babies, it never gets easier, but it’s because we love them so much! I am always over thinking, we have frenchies and there are so many known issues and you always worry. But also, we just make the most of them as they just are so amazing! Our little companions! Can’t wait to see how your trip went x
Hey G, yeah dogs are CRAZY for cane toads and exactly like the vet said, they get addicted and because of the toxicity and high from the toads then it just becomes that addiction but they just have no clue how dangerous they are! The best advice I can give is for you to head out into the yard beforehand with a flashlight and do a good search, and then use like a dog poo scoop to pick it up and fling it out into the road or somewhere. Alternatively there is HopStop you can get from Bunnings!
Yes! I always watch vlogs in 1.5 speed and i watch loooong podcast videos in 2 speed (having the subtitles on helps catch every word) ... I currently have 104 videos to watch so i gotta make the most out of the time that i get to watch UA-cam 😆
I just started watching your vlogs and have quite a bit to catch up on :) We adopted our dog a little over a year ago. He was found abandoned in a house. We don't really know how old he is, but the vet thinks he's about 2 years old now. At first I watched him like a hawk but now that he's gotten familiar with his new surroundings over the past year I don't feel like I have to monitor him constantly. I'd say it gets easier, but the fear never truly goes away. He's spoiled rotten now and he deserves every toy, treat and snuggle that he gets!
my dog is 7 years old now and I still stress a lot, but I feel like i also know him better so it's easier to tell if it's something unusual or something that just happens sometimes. it's such a big responsibility so i totally feel ya there girl, it's hard doing it by yourself too i'm lowkey struggling with guilt everyday when i leave him to go to work :(((
I feel you so much about the dog stress! When my parents dog was like 6 months old she ate a bee and she had to go to the emergency vet because she was having trouble breathing 😩 luckily everything ended up being ok but she had to stay overnight at the vet and it was so scary
Our pets are our lives. I have a Chihuahua and he means the world too me. He is 2 now almost 3 in people years. When I first got him I was at the vet a lot cause I was worried. But lucky everything is fine and sweet. 💖💖💖
Teheh me watching you talking about 1.5 speed, while watching this at 1.5 speed 😂 i totally relate to it feeling like slo mo otherwise. It’s funny because I have a channel too and I talk faster naturally and I think it’s because part of me feels like that’s how fast people record theirs
Single dog mumma here to an 11 year old cavoodle and I’m here to tell you that no it doesn’t get easier 🥲 I can definitely relate to what you said, it does get easier the better you get to know them and the way they act, but the anxiety & stress when they are sick will be there for ever haha. Worth every second though 💛 good luck 🖤🐾
Had a shocked giggle. Lol... Our 15 year old daughter can only watch UA-cam at 1.5 or 1.75 speed. She hates it slower and completely understands what's being said even if we don't. I'm excited to know she's not alone in her beautiful quirky mannerism. Love it. xx
I agree with many of the people on here, already. I have a cat and I've had her for 11 years now and any little thing that goes on with her, I make sure she's okay first and foremost. The pets we have become our family and become our kids in a way. When you said you wished they could talk to us, I totally agree with you!! I wish my cat could tell me when she wants her tummy rubbed (I know, unusual for a cat...) or that she needs food in and water in her dish, but she does in her own way. My cat comes to me and wakes me up or plops down on me when she wants me to do something. My cat is my baby, probably like your dog is your baby, and I'd do anything to make sure she was okay! Have fun on your trip!!
Had my lab 5 years and it’s still just as stressful worrying about his health or if he’s acting the slightest bit different 😂 it’s just because we love them so much ❤
Currently an Owner of three small breed dogs and I am here to tell you while they are notorious for getting into shit they aren’t supposed to, you do learn when to worry and when to relax, one of my little ones gets baby bunnies as we live rurally, and after that he feels sorry for himself because he has eaten WAY too much! I used to rush him to the vet and have him checked over because he would be whinging and uncomfortable but now I have a little supply of anti inflammatory meds from the vets for such an occasion and he knows the drill! There’s absolutely nothing I can do about him getting the rabbits or you with Winston getting toads, but should this happen again at least you know his acting strange was his obsessive hunting drive kicking in!! Being an fur baby mumma is so stressful! I am glad Winston is ok and you totally did the right thing if you were worried !!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Ive had my dog for only a year and it STILLLL is stressful and literally like my child if i had one ..HA the best advice ive been told and keep having ot remind myself is that they can pick up on ANY emotion i have. so just like when a child bumps their knee you act like its no big deal they are fine, same with pups! Just a little tip that has helped me ease a litttle stress
My cat is nearly 17, can confirm the stress and anxiety of doing something wrong does not stop hahah. I'm defintiely always over analysing things, but she's an old gal now and I would rather be over-diligent than miss something important. A couple months ago I was literally so stressed she could be in early stages of hyperthyroidism or kidney disease bc she started drinking so much more water. When I took her to the vet, they said she's in excellent health and probably just really likes the taste of water. Later on, I realised I probably just felt like she was suddenly having more because the little smarty pants worked out if she sits at the bowl and stares at me I'll give her fresh stuff (she likes it running, but her fountain is out of commission atm). This might be my AuDHD but I actually change the speed of the video depending on how I feel (and what level of stimulation) at the time hahah. 1.25x is probably my happy medium most of the time. Normal is often too slow unless the speaker of the video is faster or I'm tired. 1.5x is good if it doesn't distort the sound, or I can turn sound off and still enjoy the video. Sometimes I change the speed multiple times in one video, but usually I know what I'm feeling before I start watching.
Sadly I don't think it goes away. I have cats so when I go on vacation I only have someone stop by to feed them so they are alone basically the whole time and it terrifies me. I even got a pet camera so I could watch them basically the whole time lol. You're just a good pet parent ☺
That stress never goes away unfortunately, I have a Winston sausage too and I was balling my eyes out the other night whilst he was literally sleeping next me because I was thinking about how I would feel if he passed away. His 3 years old and I have a 11 month old aswell and yeah it gets worse with 2 haha
I have 3 cats, the oldest is 4 and the anxiety never really goes away but I think it does get slightly easier with time. I feel like it might be easier with cats though since they don't go outside or really do anything risky, we want to get a dog one day so that'll be interesting 😅
Omg my family’s 17 year old Jack russel X is addicted to toads 🤣🤣🤣 he has OD’d way too many times! He gets this crazed look in his eyes when he smells that toads are about 🤣 We just hose his mouth out if he’s licked any toads & monitor him. He’s only been to the vet once & that was after his first ever OD. It was so scary! But now we know what to do, he just toughs it out with us haha His addiction has resulted in mild epilepsy (to be fair he’s been a toad licker for 15 years 🤣🤣🤣). We joke it’s the secret to a long life though! 17, no medication needed, fit as a fiddle and runs around like a puppy! Just has the occasional seizure which doesn’t require treatment.
To answer your question if being a pet parent becomes easier or less stressful the answer is yes and no. Good luck. jk jk. I can relate. My hair has turned grey from the past 2 years of stress with my sick cat and now that she's gone and I never thought I could live without her -- you just do. Throw in frequent menty b's and online shop and you briefly feel better. Ugh, pets. But you just wouldn't have it any other way. They are worth every ounce of stress and every cent spent at the vet. 🥰💐 You're doing a great job with Winnie. I know he would whisper that in your ear and tell you if he could talk FR.
Those packets aren’t poisonous to humans so they shouldn’t be to dogs as my friends son ate one as he thought it was sugar. I rang poisons info and they said it would just make him really thirsty and it did
May I ask why you dont share links to items ever? Just personal preference or? I love love love that bathing suit but i can only find the dresses in that print online. Im from the states and in Maine specifically lobster is a BIGGG thing hahah so it is PERFECT
i remember driving away with my dog as a little 1.7lb puppy and thinking "oh no, what have i done!!! im giving this dog full permission to break my heart"
This is the hottest I've ever been! Your vlogs have been fascinating to follow, and I've enjoyed seeing you develop into the lady you seem destined to be. I find daily motivation from you. ✨
“If anything is going to make me happy after a mental breakdown it’s online shopping” I relate way too much to that 😂❤️

I love your videos, thank you for being so relatable and realistic. I come to your channel to keep me grounded in not feeling alone on my journey.

“please go and give your dog a forehead kiss for me” onnit!!!! this made my morning 😂🫶🏼
I’ve been watching videos on x2 speed for just over a year and it’s life changing. I can never watch a video at normal speed anymore it’s too slow
It’s too easy to do online shopping! You inspire my videos Georgia - love your vlogs 🥰
Totally agree with Grace- everything on x1.5 speed! 😅
I listen to all videos on 1.5 speed, I agree that hearing normal speed sounds so slow now
I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS EARLY!!! I've loved watching your vlogs and watching you grow into the woman you're becoming:) you inspire me everyday

I listen to my UA-cam on 1.75x speed and I have for years hahahah!
Poor Winnie, worrying his mumma. Glad it all worked out OK. Xx

Omg i am on the same page as Grace with the spots and holes behind the chocolate. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
My dog Mum anxiety only eased off when I became a human Mum and refocused my anxiety to baby instead 😂

You're doing a great job with Winnie. I know he would whisper that in your ear and tell you if he could talk FR.
Well I was going to head to bed now and go to sleep but I guess I’ll be sleeping late tonight 😭🥹🤣🤍
I listen on 1.5 speed. I can’t do normal speed anymore I feel like it’s in slow motion 😂
YES!!! 1.5 speed always
My boyfriends dog is old so just spending more time with him recently, when you said to give your dogs kisses, I did just that 🥺
My family's last dog bit so many toads he got immune to them and got high from them. Luckily he lived until 17 years old
Ugh I hate toads. Summer is so freaky for me with my 2 dogs, I feel your stress 😭
The universe said “oh you wanna be Callie Torres for Halloween? Here, here’s a physical injury case for ya”
Those packets aren’t poisonous to humans so they shouldn’t be to dogs as my friends son ate one as he thought it was sugar. I rang poisons info and they said it would just make him really thirsty and it did
I was just wondering when was the Black Friday sale 😅 need to get me some new bras! I will keep my eyes peeled for next week!
I have the same thing with holes! Makes me cringe and want to scratch haha I don't know many people that have that too 😂
I posted a halloween vlog too bc you inspired me!💙
