No one paid off my student loans nor my children’s either. One of my sons ended up over $200,000 in debt. All of us together borrowed around $400,000 and we paid back every penny of what we had borrowed. We agreed to pay it back and we were happy to do so. We were thankful that the program existed, otherwise we could not have afforded an education.
The term "Student Loan Forgiveness" needs to be banned. It is deceptive. It is NOT being forgiven!!! It is being TRANSFERRED or DIFFERED because another person, tax paying American citizen, hard working human being is PAYING the Debt.
