AWESOME! She has made us a HUGE fan of hers. What a great skate with two quads. Love that you are attempting quads and landing them. She just needs to improve her artistry and completely rotate her jumps and she will GO FAR. She's only 14 and has time to improve before the next Olympics. Good luck Mia!
I feel her coach is wasting some potential, it's so sad seeing her with rotation problems in her jumps and seeing this program with zero emotions an choreo makes me realize they only care about jumps, they are gonna destroy this poor kid with that technique
I fee so bad😢 she definitely has a wonderful talent but her coach is literally wasting it. if she improves her skating skills she will get huge scores. she has to strengthen her basic skills and that’s the coach’s job to teach it!! It’s not a time to struggle to have more quads but focus on stabilizing what she already has and improving her jump mechanisms, spins, steps, and skating skills!
Very very true. But I also feel like they’re scared that she’ll lose all her skills if they change her. She’s at the point where she can clearly do her quad toe and land it successfully with good consistency. But if they try to change her entirely like more muscle and strength, maybe her jumps may change and she’ll struggle. The best solution is to just develop it slowly.
@@bbl1188 she was, sorry but a clean program with 2 quads gets constantly lower goe and pcs than Minsol programs while her skating skills are clearly still in development is an aberration. Strangely enough the new president of the ISU is Korean. 🥴 People are so jealous of the new quads they always justify their losses by the fact that the quads are overscored, as if they could win a major competition without ultra-Cs. Today, a skater with 2 quads and a clean program is ranked sixth behind many skaters without ultra-Cs and many failed/popped jumps. Either you’re terrible at maths either you know nothing in figure skating. But I’d like to point out the double standards that are are way more upsetting. Mia’s quads may have been underrotated, but guess who else have underrotated jumps (on the quarter) ? Mao. I love her, but on her 3A or 4T she wasn’t even called on the quarter. You CAN’T make favor treatment. Quads are denigrated in the women discipline unless it’s a Japanese skater who is performing them. The fandom (ISU too) is so biased they can’t even fathom the double standard they set up on athletes they don’t even know, based on their sole nationality.

The technical judges cheated her again. She had skated a clean program like the Japanese skater last time and Mia should have won the bronze 🥉 medal, and she gave a more challenging program and still she lost. Why?!! Mia's score of the free program should have been higher in the technical and artistic component skills scores, but the judges had downgraded her again, but next time, she is going to medal and win!!! Josephine Lee was cheated too because she didn't two footed her landing of her jumps, but I wish that she had skated a clean program like she did last time, but they wait, both Americans would be ready next time!!! Because they are resilient, courageous, and determined!!!
Why? Because most of her jumps were under rotated and were done with awful technique and wobbly landings. Her spins are all so slow and missing level 4. All aspects of her pcs are not good and needs improvement specially her ss. Let's face reality, quads are not everything. These two 4th places at her jgps and missing the nationals is a good message for her to start working and improving other aspects of her skating and not just jumping (even her jumps need so much work tho).

I tried to be of good sportsmanship of all contenders, but Mia Kalin was cheated by her composition skills scores should have been higher than her technical skills score: and if she had over rotated her jumps or under rotated her jumps, it was flagged and deduction already executed, so therefore, they ( the judges) cheated her points and placed her 4th place off the podium that surprised both Mia and her coach, including some spectators, of course not 🚭🚫 you because you are anti American athletes!!!
