I have a feeling Spectrum's streaming service will bend me over and make me subscribe to something else. Time Warner, now Charter, has been getting me since the box with the cord and three rows of either green or red buttons.
My great uncle Paul Browning 🙏 him he was from Cincinnati and a big Cincinnati REDS fan you would always get merchandise and send it to me I live in the Tampa Bay area
Is Charlotte, NC considered in market still? It was under Bally, and games were blacked out on the MLB TV package. Will they be included now, or still blacked out?
I watch the Reds from Buffalo, ny. In recent years When the Reds played the Mets, Yankees, Cleveland and Pittsburgh I had to listen to their broadcast announcers and not the Reds broadcast team. Will thus change in the new deal???
Nothing will change for you Richard - you'll still have to watch the opposing teams broadcasts. Only difference is if you don't have cable, I don't believe you will be blacked out of Cleveland's games because they are also having their games broadcast by MLB.
Blackouts were so stupid. I dropped cable tv in 2014 and don’t miss it at all. I have Roku and there’s plenty of free stuff on there to watch. Depending on the pricing here, I might check this out. Of course that’s all subject to the Reds having a decent team.
@@ChadQuick270W India wasn't going to help take the Reds to another level. He lacks motivation to improve his game. He makes A LOT of bone-headed mistakes on the basepath. You can't have your leadoff hitter getting on base and then doing nothing.
Uh-oh. My Comcast service may be a problem. I’m in Indy. The Fanduel channel will now only have Pacers, Fever, and the St. Louis Blues for some odd reason. Sure hope Comcast works out a deal with MLB, but they can be very unconcerned with their customers desires.
Nick wonderful news. If you happen to know, with MLB TV producing the games in 2025, does this change the number of spring training games that will be broadcast? I believe that there were not many available. Thanks again for the info 😃
Last year the Padres did 25 spring training games, but the Rockies only did 6 and the Dbacks 5 among the teams with games produced by MLB. I sure hope the Reds are closer to that 25. It's insanity that most spring game aren't broadcast these days.
Can a casual fan living in Northern Kentucky who just wants to turn the game on durng Elle Della Cruise's at bats watch Red's games without swiping a credit card?
I have Spectrum cable. If for some reason Spectrum doesn't add a channel to watch the Reds games come opening day, and I were to purchase the streaming package but then let's say a week later Spectrum does finally provide the new Reds channel...would I be able to get my money refunded from the MLB app purchase since I would at that point no longer need it to watch the games since I was already a Spectrum cable subscriber?
I would shocked if Spectrum does not have the Reds and if we don't know by Opening Day, but you could do the monthly package at $19.99 if that happened instead of the yearly and you can cancel that anytime.
@NickKirbyReds good point. Just watched the Netflix documentary "The Comeback" about the 2004 Red Sox with Terry Francona as first year manager. Couldn't help but keep picturing that team being the 2025 Cincinnati Reds. I think Tito is going to have a disciplined yet fun team to watch next summer. To say I'm fired up is an understatement!!!! October in GABP!!! LFG!
To be fair. SAM BRIAN J DAY COWBOY LARKIN ANNIE and even Chris usually are Great. Our current radio and tv play by play guys don't really remind of Skully..Al. Costas..Marty etc to be polite
Just read an article that Reds are picked to finish only ahead of a couple of teams on total MLB teams , is honeymoon over on Francona and Reds based on this prediction ?
Going to record a podcast on that article at some point, but I do not agree with that article at all. They are predicting the Reds lose MORE games than last year. I don't see that happening.
I'm sorry if I missed it but what leads you to believe T-Mobile deal won't include the Reds? Also I think every video involving Cincinnati sports should have a suicide prevention helpline.
There was Q&A article from the Padres last year that said you will have to purchase the specific "Padres + MLBtv" package to watch the Padres games, and the regular MLBtv package not through the Padres would not work. There was also a $60 price increase between "Padres + MLBtv" vs just the regular MLBtv package, which is why I speculate that T-Mobile deal won't work. I'd love to be wrong. - Nick
@NickKirby: Any idea when the word will come down if Comcast in SE Tennessee will broadcast the Reds games like they have the last few years? Comcast still has FanDuel networks on its channel lineup here showing ATL based sports teams. Is there a way to contact Comcast to find out if they are broadcasting Reds games this upcoming season and what channel(s) they will utilize?
I doubt if you call Comcast now they will have any idea. I'm assuming we find out in the next couple months. Reds did say that everyone who had the Reds on cable should not be impacted, but you have such a unique situation. If Comcast does pick up the Reds, it would like be channel that is only for Reds games and will have no other programing. That is what happened with other cable providers in San Diego.
No comment on Mr Sadak. Other than life is hard enough without Reds tv guys YELLING on check swing appeals caught stealings in 3rd inning or rbi singles in blowouts.
I currently have the Sports Package on Spectrum. There are 6 or 7 sports channels included which also include the NFL Network etc. The package costs me $6.99 per month. I also realize that that price will also increase due to this change. I predict Spectrum will jack that up to $30.00 to $40.00. As long as it stays around that price, I will stick with that. I have been watching and listening to the Reds' since 1947 - 48, and I will continue to do so. Come on, you complainers. we all knew Sports broadcasting was gonna increase in price.
John Sadak has been awesome for the Reds in his short time here, and I sincerely hope he doesn’t go away.
Really remember those days ON CH 5 RED'S ALL DAYS FREE PERIOD😅
i do, too. for awhile they were on channels 12 and 64.
That was only about 40 games per year. A network affiliate (NBC) like WLWT can't clear 162 games.
I'm going to have to check the Braves schedule just to see the Reds here in South Carolina.
Reds fan all the way from washington state! Been enjoying watching all the reds games on mlbtv.
Would love to see the return of Thom Brennaman
so would I, however, Thom is busy covering college football games on the CW.
@@gothard5the current Tom on radio is absolutely first class in every way and trust he will be fixture on 700 going forward
And that's a home run for Castellanos...🤣Sorry, had to do it...
He absolutely doesn't deserve to be affiliated with the Reds.
Whoops
Finally after 30 years of complaining about black outs it has come to its end. Will not have to use a vpn 💪

Nothing changes for me as I'm watching games on MLBTV & the west coast. I do hope they keep John Sadak!

If we lose Larkin on broadcasts that would be great
no, that would be awful. Sadak and Larkin are awesome.
@@gothard5 Larkin? He has no idea what's going on half the time
@@gothard5 You don't have a clue what you're talking about. Larkin is awful behind the mic.
i hope the reds can get back to winning

This is very exciting
I have dish network and I don't get reds games...damn
So I live in Florida, do I have to purchase the entire MLBtv package or is there a way for me to purchase just the Reds games?
Sweet so if I have the St Louis Cardinals single team package and I live in reds territory I should be able to pick up reds Cardinals MLB TV right

And if they don't address their offense in a big way, it's going to be another losing year with decent pitching.
@ they lost me when they traded Jonathan India. I don’t even care about this team anymore. I’m sick of them trading off all the good players.

So, we get a large discount since we no longer have to pay Sadak and Larkin's exorbitant talent fees?
