A good way to "look at your audience" if you get nervous is to look slightly above which section you want to look at. This makes it seem like you're directly looking at them while in actuality you are just staring at the back of the room. Also remember to turn to face a new section of the audience from time to time. You should definitely push yourself to look directly at your audience to improve yourself in general when dealing with people.

1 - *Eye contact* : just look at the audience so you can make them feel like you're talking to each one of them individually, which leads into them getting more interested
2 - *Body language* : don't just stand there with your hands in a shape, move around the room, don't move too fast nor too much cause you'd be distracting your audience, but instead move like you're just drifting
Also with your hands you should probably do gestures that relate to what you're talking about
For example if you're listing sth raise your hand up and count numbers in them
3 - *tone* : you can't keep your tone the same the whole entire time. It will just get your audience bored. Instead try raising your voice in important stuff and lowering your voice when it's sth useless
4 - *interact* : interact with your audience. Ask them questions about their personal experiences relating to the topic. It'd be better if you ask them at the beginning to grab their attention
5 - *have fun* : no one would remember if you messed up while saying a word so really just go for it without worrying

Make eye contact with different people
    Use body language a lot
Move from one place to another every once in a while
Waver your volume from so low to so high suddenly , this way people will focus and will get curious about what's next

When I was 10 I attended a poem contest. (We were doing one about why tobacco is bad for you) And I looked at the audience, kinda stared at the judge for too long,
but still won. It felt amazing. My mom said I did amazing but kinda fidgeted with my hands but did she really expect me to move my hands? I actually won a new ipad so I didn’t have to beg my parents to buy me one. 😎 My poem was the longest.
We were all coached by professional (really good) poets.
The guy who coached me was very funny and he helped me speak louder and helped me out of my comfort zone.
Even though I still have my social anxiety, he really helped me in front of big crowds. I mean the only thing I had done was faintly sing karaoke. He’s a real legend, I thank him. ❤❤❤❤
(Also Note of advice have the longest poem in a poem contest, speak clearly and actually act like you know what your doing and be smart and you will win like me✨✨)

all good tips! here’s a life saver:
    - look right above the students in the most central portion of the room. looks like you’re making eye contact, but it’s less awkward

Fun Fact: when making eye contact, it might actually help to look at the audiences foreheads and not their eyes cuz this makes you less nervous. My mom told me this and I didn’t believe it but it actually worked.

I’m late to the party but here’s the advice I use
If the entire class has to give a presentation, then they are most likely going to worry about their presentations also. They won’t focus on your presentation so it will basically be talking to an empty classroom. Just people that can’t focus, and now just present.

Actually, upward inflection is better as it doesn't end the sentence. Your presentation should be one big point with everything you say working towards that point. Upwards inflection connects the different segments of the presentation making it more coherent and easy to follow. Which can make you feel more confident as people listening attentively is more confidence boosting then people staring at you puzzeldly while trying to connect the pieces of your presentation.

    To get over stage fright
You can look just above the audience’s eyes, at their forehead
    It helps

And if you are nervous about making eye contact with people, just look at the back wall of your classroom or look at the people you are comfortable with.
