A good way to "look at your audience" if you get nervous is to look slightly above which section you want to look at. This makes it seem like you're directly looking at them while in actuality you are just staring at the back of the room. Also remember to turn to face a new section of the audience from time to time. You should definitely push yourself to look directly at your audience to improve yourself in general when dealing with people.
I am a High School student and I have done a lot of presentations in my school. After watching this video, I have improved my skills in presenting subjects. Thanks brother Gohar❤
@@Romansciime too!! its been like this since 7th grade and i still remember when i embarrassed myself because i literally trembled and forgot my words
Pro tip for the eye contact: look at people specifically in the audience. Not above them or at some random point in the room. It will make your point come across very clearly if you do.
1 - *Eye contact* : just look at the audience so you can make them feel like you're talking to each one of them individually, which leads into them getting more interested 2 - *Body language* : don't just stand there with your hands in a shape, move around the room, don't move too fast nor too much cause you'd be distracting your audience, but instead move like you're just drifting Also with your hands you should probably do gestures that relate to what you're talking about For example if you're listing sth raise your hand up and count numbers in them 3 - *tone* : you can't keep your tone the same the whole entire time. It will just get your audience bored. Instead try raising your voice in important stuff and lowering your voice when it's sth useless 4 - *interact* : interact with your audience. Ask them questions about their personal experiences relating to the topic. It'd be better if you ask them at the beginning to grab their attention 5 - *have fun* : no one would remember if you messed up while saying a word so really just go for it without worrying
extra tip: instead of saying "uh", "um", or "eh", if you dont know or remember what to say, just stay silent before talking again. it makes you look smart.
When it comes to how strict your teacher is on the rubric, don't always say "um" or "uh" whenever you're explaining a topic in your presentation. Hope that helps! 😊
this is impossible for me i can't speak in class without saying umm at least once. normally at the start of the sentence i know what i'm gonna say and it always goes "um-"
When I was a kid I couldn’t stand eye contact and now I can’t live without it, people think it’s intimidating, and exudes confidence, I’m just comfortable around people and I like that about myself
I personally recommend, as a person who does a lot of presentations at school, that another thing you can do is cross your hands behind your back, (like a sergeant, I don't know how to explain it). Because it is an appearance of power and can help you stand straight while you speak. But if I can recommend something, move your hands while you talk, move a little, point at things, exemplify with movement (but not too much). It makes you look more interesting and more dynamic. But that's just my idea, I'm not saying it's right. Good luck with day or night.
Hey Gohar! Thanks a lot!I watched this short day before yesterday and today was my presentation and aced it.Usually I am nervous but because of this short I was much more confident and performed Amazingly❤ Once again,THANK YOU❤
on top of that, I would say every sentence look to a different person so everybody grasps what your saying more. If you just look at one person they may be confused and also might distract the rest of the audience while presenting
My 8th grade English teacher would always tell us to look right above people's head because then it makes you look like you are making eye contact but you aren't
Usually, if I feel unconfident I would look ahead and not actually look at my classmates. This makes it look like I am actually looking at my fellow class.
also,if you might think that the audience WILL laugh at you if you are inside or outside focus on one thing avoid contact with the audience or if you arw inside you can look at the wall and focus the wall. hope this help
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have a presentation this coming week and a week or 2 ago I did another and I did terribly. This week I'll follow your advice and do so much better.

Could you give an example of downward vs upward inflection?
He did, while mentioning that point. An upward inflection is when you are asking a question
So you know how people tend to raise their pitch at the end of a sentence in order to make it a question?
Don’t do that
