Just saw ur previous video, few thoughts based n my reef experience with fish n corals for years now 1. Naso feed only on nori sheets ( green/red algae ) and frozen food (mysis or artemia) , they simply dont take pellets 2. Check ur water ammonia, nitrite 3. Usually grown up ones need min 4ft tank, this is small fish, oru 3months manage pannirukalam, 4. It needs sleeping/hiding rocks, u need to replicate almost natural setup, prefer rocks which grows coraline algae long term 5. Check they are caught from sea r home breeds, prefer home breeds 6. Go for mimic tang or sailfin tang for beginners 7. Blue tang are prone to itch usually avoid 8. For ur tank size my recommended fish, ocellaris, wrasses, damsel, try chromis if cheap, cardinal, hawkfish, fire goby, these have beautiful colors and good for ur nano tank Test ur water for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, kh, ph Hang ammonia test strip Do u hv any filter sock before skimmer? Its nano tank, if possible externalize skimmer, save space U dont hv corals so light s not a major concern, still look for blue Nd mixed spectrum lights, and it shud b on only for 9-12h low-high-low curve, fish are light sensitive too Add clean up crew, 2 snails, 1 nass for under sand Its not jus tank, its an ecosystem, its a small world, u emulate ocean like setup to maintain these saltwater tank/fish This hobby s tough, expensive, needs patience but very rewarding once u stabilize Anytime ask me any doubt, will help u
As a fellow hobbyist I have too tried a marine setup in a 2 feet tank with sunsun 302 canister filter but ended up in failure. Let me clear you some points and mistakes I have done. First of all marine tank need good water flow and a lot of rocks and media. Second thing marine tanks need to be set-up with direct sea water not with synthetic salt. For maintaining pH and good bacteria colony you need dead coral. In India 90% of marine tanks are setup by ilegal/ banned dead corals. None of the shop keepers will show you their actual tank sump set-ups they will hide it with black or white stickers because of dead corals. If your planning to do a marine setup without dead corals. Your maintenance cost will be high. So think before entering or investing further in marine aquarium. None of the shops in Chennai or nearby seashores use synthetic salt as they are doing commercially they can't invest in salt and all so they are all using direct sea water. But they advise to use synthetic salt 😂. Lava rocks can be used in marine aquarium check the UA-cam channel Everyday aquarist he uses lava rock and macro alage and canister filter for marine aquariums but faces alage issues sometimes..... This tank won't last you will end up killing the fishes your time and money. If you're really planning to set up a marine tank go with full shop setup at 10k 20k even though they use dead corals but their setup will be clean and one time investment.
Marine tank don't need direct seawater In the marine hobby for 4 years Never use seawater, it's not possible for me Always synthetic sea salt . Aquaforest and quantum salt Your marine tank will fail without proper setup , without proper knowledge Remember marine tanks needs time to mature . You can't keep tangs in a brand new tank just after cycling. They will probably end up dying .. Proper knowledge, proper set up , good filtration, and fish husbandry are needed for keeping marine fishes in the long run ..
Sump is very essential for beginners for keeping a marine tank.. Without proper knowledge you can't keep marine tank without sump Yes marine tank can be run on canister filters and hang on back filters but that's for them who has knowledge...not for beginners
@@KolkataMarineHobbyist read my comments clearly I have mentioned all the necessary and basics properly and can you explain what is proper knowledge ??? who said bro you can't keep in sea water. ??? Do you visited any South part of Tamil Nadu and do you know how clowns are hatched in farms. Go to school and read where these fishes come from. Marine aquarium hobby is a biggest scam in India making every hobbyist think it is costly and high maintenance one. I am from Chennai none of the shop in Chennai use synthetic salt. They just bring sea water and hold it for a week or 2 and they just add fishes and quarantine them and sell to you. Do you think a commercial seller can use synthetic salt for 30 to 40 tanks in a shop for holding the fishes still they are sold out. If corals are banned in India means what is the purpose of selling corals food and specific corals led lights for thousands of rupees. I know sump and skimmer are mandatory for marine aquariums but synthetic salt is not necessary unless you have sea near by. And all of the sellers are using dry corals to maintain pH in tanks I have gone through all the sellers in South and as well few in North. Everyone is doing business with high profit margin thats all.
Bro intha mathiri setup i did two years before . Max 1 month all fishes will die . You can't control ammonia and nitrite in this tank setup . Marine nalae sump filteration and water flow must bro . Without sump we can't achieve success . Ivlo panna neenga could created a tank with bank sump system atleast
Marine tank cycle analum mature agura vara one by one fish ah thaan add pananum... like monthly one fish. and tang requires lot of space just add nano fish for nano tank.
Very sorry for your loss. I can see your fish are showing frequent scraping and flashing behaviors. It is a symptom of ectoparasites. It may be a Brooklynella/Cryptocaryon/marine velvet/Uronema/mixed infection that needs your immediate attention. Watch your fish closely for any white spots on their skin (all fish). Parasitic infections are common in the marine hobby and are treatable, but not easy.
Weekly 10 percentage water na Roma expence athikam agum neenga sump setup panunga bro once set panta life time water ah thavara vera yathum fill pana venam
considering your tank size, filtration and the tank age just stick to the current fishes and dont add any other fishes, may be trying adding some cleaning crew and try to learn and manage the issue that come up within these fishes, i would suggest not to add any other fishes especially tangs or other large fishes which require pristine water condtions, good hiding space and very large tank ! happy fishing bro!
Please remove lava rocks and add more marine rocks.. fishes will be less stress if there are more hiding spots. It will also help with better filteration and tank maturity.
