In the first episode of the series, I'm explaining CHEKHOV'S GUN, and what makes it an effective plot device in a film.

An example of Chekhov’s gun I didn’t like at all was the mantram in karthikeya. Cinema beginning lo karthikeya learns about how certain sounds have power and much later, cave lo he recites the same mantram to bring light into the cave.

Actually the initial draft of Bahubali 2 had Aslam Khan helping Shivudu to get into the fort. Unfortunately they didn't have enough time to incorporate that into it as the flashback portion took so much time. So they had to chop it off and use that Catapult thing. Vijayendra Prasad told this in an interview. FUNFACT
