This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However, as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die!
And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (a classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (an ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (a classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (a musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible.
Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their majestic original song Utopia is a must check.
Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Enjoy their diversity with their original song White Night too.
Forestella released their single KOOL in Kpop style to fulfill their promise of Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans.

Forestella released fantastic original Snow Globe m/v! Kang HyungHo composed it, and all the Forestella members contributed in arranging it.
Another original Chagall's Dream brings back the moment of Forestella Festival in my heart, I feel like in my lucid dream seeing Forestella altogether in the future in advance.
Forestella are incredible. The vocals and visuals are very beautiful. But those lyrics are so melancholy.
Welcome to the world of "Crossover". These guys are uniquely different and yet mesh together beautifully.
"Queens Vibe". They did a brilliant cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody". Their original song "Utopia" while reminiscent is not the same.

They debuted in 2018 after winning 2017's Phantom Singer 2 which was the second season of a competition show seeking a crossover group. Which means a mix of opera trained and others. In this case, 2 operatic trained, 1 in musicals, and 1 who was a chemical engineer who now has a Rock Band.

forestella is a classical crossover quartet of 2 opera singers (the bass being one) a musical actor and a freak of nature (with a soprano range!) their original music adheres more to the classical crossover genre, but they are frequent performers on a korean musical variety show called immortal songs, the premise of which is covering past hits. so they do a lot of amazing pop covers, including bohemian rhapsody, shape of you, bad romance and despacito. they are not limited by genre or language, performing everything from rock opera to jazz in 8 different languages.

FORESTELLA is definitely one of the best the music industry has to offer. Their genre is CROSSOVER and they take on and mix EVERY GENRE and style. And they don't always sound classic, only when they want them to. These guys are incredibly versatile, creative and experimental. Thanks to their very flexible voices and outstanding abilities, they adapt to any genre and deliver one best performance after another. They mostly cover TOP songs, give them their own flavor and, with each of these versions, make the original their own and make it a new TOP.
Definitely recommended: "Lazenka SAVE US" (Rock/Metal), MAMA (by EXO), "Bohemian Rhapsodie" "LEGENDS NEVER DIE" (from League fo Legends) and their other originals "Save Our", "Utopia" and "White Night". ALL of these performances are INCREDIBLE and TOP NOTCH.

Firstly,I'm glad more of the Voiceplay reactors I watch are reacting to Forestella,it's like my 2 worlds are collding.
Forestella are a Korean crossover group,they were formed on a survival show in 2017 and they won. They are made up of 2 opera singers,a musical actor and a rock singer who has a soprano range,but does not have any formal training. They are Korean but they don't fit under the genre 'k-pop' they are not rappers or dancers they are just a vocal focused group. They do dance on occasion but it's not what they are known for. I would suggest bohemian rhapsody for a cover and their original song utopia as this is a song that takes inspiration from Queen.

Thank you for taking a listen to Forestella…they excel in many different genres and languages…that’s what makes them so exciting. They are unafraid of being daring and adventurous with their own original music or the covers they do so successfully. This song SNOW GLOBE was composed by the tenor soprano voice Kang HyungHo when Forestella was stuck in a hotel for 7 days in Dallas, Texas while on N. American tour in January2023. He also did the vocal arrangement , with all members doing the vocals and contributing to the story line.

Forestella is amazing.. You should definitely check out Legends never Die, Bad Romance, Despacito, Nella Fantasia, and Scarborough Fair - to get just a hint of the range that they have. They are SO good. Harmonies Like no other!

OK, you sensed something like Queen from them, hence let's start from Forestella Queen's best songs compilation video on KBS Jeonju channel.
But if you are looking for something in Christmas mood (I checked your recent reactions so feels like that) better to know that Ko WooRim (the bass) has a solo cover on Christmas Song. I think Forestella's original song White Night also would be a good winter song.
However, these songs are only a tiny tip of huge iceberg. Forestella is very versatile. They can sing everything in various languages and styles. You will be surprised every time. Pick any song from Forestella, it will be different from what you expected, in a wonderful way. Start with songs you are familiar with. Better try well-known songs. Easier to see how Forestella made it their own.

Welcome to the Forestella world. This song is their most recent original song, composed by one of the members, indeed. You heard correctly, two of the members were trained for classical singing and they also have a rock singer, as well as a musical singer. They are influenced by Queen and covered many of Queen songs. They have covered various genres including classical songs, dance, rock, ballad etc. They have original songs, most famous songs are the Save Our Lives, Utopia (strongly influenced by Queen), and White Nights.

They don't all sound like this. They don't really believe in genres. They are a crossover vocal group, and they have tackled everything from Tangos to K-pop, Rock Operas to Folk music. Keep watching and I promise you wont be disappointed.
The Kings of Harmonies! This song depicts their journey, as they all had previous carreers, in which they were established but not fulfilled… they broke the globe , took a chance and entered the “Phantom Singer” contest, and won!
This song is written by the contra tenor Hyungho Kang, and arranged in part by the others. There are 2 opera singers, one musical actor and one self taught rock singer who also happens to have an amazing range and covers the very high parts.
