Aww the ducks are so cute, eggs are delicious, we had 4 Appleyard ducks but would lay everywhere because we had a huge land, your chickens are pretty too, you made a great choice 😊
Hello, my name is Aniabas and I am a Bird-o-holic. I'm a first time chicken mom this year (8 full sized + 4 bantam = Chicken math) and I just got 4 ducklings today! So I I think I've moved into Flock Algebra now
Ducks are awesome. The entertainment value alone is priceless. We had our ducks and chickens together.. with guineas too. I had them swimming at 3 days old in a warm water, baking pan bath. As for the mess.. it also helps to keep the food away from the water.
@@BellaandNikola mine really never got over the skittish thing..though there were a couple I could hold in my lap, once I caught them. Those two ducks had manners.. if they needed to do a duck squirt.. they'd wiggle and let me know. Not a chicken.. they have no respect for a lap. Right around 4 and a half.. 5 weeks, they get to what I call the dinosaur duck stage.. tiny wings. stomping around like little raptors.. with bills. I had a variety of light color and white ones.. easier to see, for me, if they get a booboo.

They are so fun and cute, but they are still scared of us! Excited to see them grow!

Are the Cayuga ducks loud? Im thinking about adding them to my flock. If they are loud my neighbors would object.
