Tamayo was the most important person in Yuichiro`s life
He could`ve forgot some details, but not her itself
I mean... Tamayo remembered her family for about a five hundred years, Kokushibo still remembers his family members(though he only remembers the face of yoriichi)

In the manga when Tanjiro turned into a demon. Yushiro was in the shade to not burn, he also said he can't cure Tanjiro with Tamayo's antidote because it's day time and after Tanjiro turned back. Yushiro was in a dark room so i guess he just stay in the dark and he's not smart enough to make a cure for himself to conquer the sun
