The Chinese red Army did not fight the Japanese in more than 3 battles. They sat back letting what became Taiwan do all the work with the what became NATO allies. PLA did next to nothing to fight the Japanese in WW2.
Do we think 2 carrier task forces is a sufficient force in a potential fight with China? So why not practice with 5 carrier groups in a lose over lapping mega fleet? Will the carrier fleets be augmented with lasers to harden them. Maybe integrate Dragon Fire enhancements? Will carriers employ fighter cover designed to shoot down missile and drones (maybe not the hypersonic missiles)? Why not sell alot of Patriot and THAD batteries to Taiwan. Then sell alot of anti-ship missiles to Taiwan? This assumes Taiwan actually buys them rather than US funding for them to buy using our funds.
Funny! I still think the US would dominate the PLAN (because despite the name: The Chinese don't have a plan! Hell, the Chinese haven't ever fought a large naval battle! Their ships might look modern, but 90% of their hardware is based on Soviet-Era stuff that they've copied and tried their best to modernize (while still being unable to fully understand/copy some of it! For example, their Shenyang J-15 carrier-aircraft is based on a Soviet-Design (the SU-35 if I remember correctly!), but the Chinese are unable to copy the engine well enough, which leads to the (rather heavy aircraft) lacking the thrust the original aircraft has, so it can't launch with both full fuel and a full weapons load! It's either one or the other!)

China is so far behind in experience leadership organization and quality yeah they have quanity but they will not be able to break out of the first island chain. Also if you include Britain, Japan, India and others chinese shipping would cease to exist excwpt in central asia.
