I bought it yesterday, it's not smooth as compared to my 20 years back hercules thriller, I find pain in my knees riding this ,it takes me more time and effort to cover distance as compared to my old cycle, kya such ke liya tha aur kya ho gaya
You are right the knee pain is a real thing and we have to put more effort in this cycle to pull it, but we can't do anything.
Actually, all the new age bicycles are made like that. They have awkward seat positioning which make riding hard.
I have Hercules street cat pro, Hero sprint monk and new cycles from Avon and they all are very hard in riding compared to the cycles 10 years older.
My 10 old cycle Atlas contender is very comfortable in riding and get acceleration very quickly but these new cycles are mainly MTBs that is not design for smooth riding. Sad reality.

For brakes I'll say disc brakes are the best. I have used calliper brakes, V brakes and disc brakes.
But the stopping power of disc brake is excellent you have full control of your cycle and they also work in rain.
So, you can select disk brakes, but always keep disc brakes away from oil one drop of oil can damage your disc.
In cycle comparison monk is on expensive side due to chunky wheels, smooth suspension, thin alloy wheel rim and new handle bar.
But on the riding side both are almost same, are equally good and comes from reputed brand.
Check the design and price and purchase the one you like the most.

2.35 is better as wider tyres gives more control on road and better grip.
You can install 2.35 tyres in your cycle and it will cost you around 800.

Only change the wires if the wires are broken. You can buy wires of any brand available in local market all are equally strong. Just check that the cable should be thick, not very thin.

Disc brakes me aap oil nahi dal sakte callipers kharab ho jayenge. Is liye aap ise oil se door hi rakhiye.
Aur aap ise soap ya shampoo se clean kar sakte hai, koi bhi problem nahi hai, par clean karne ke bad aache se soap ya shampoo ko saf kar lena hai, taki disc slip na kare.

Aap bkack colour ke electrical tape se sticker ke edge ko cycle ke frame ke sath chipka degiye. Isse sticker phir se chipak jayega. Aur aap fevicol ko bhi use kar skate hai.

Not good for long rides for long person, its frame is too small which does not allow you to straight your leg during paddling, which creates pain in your knee and those who didn't ride old style cycle, they don't know about this problem. GENUINE ADVICE!!

You have to increase the seat height for straight paddling and then you will not feel the knee pain.

Disk brakes of this cycle are very strong and they won't break easily. Only some hex screws get loose and calipers alignment gets disturbed in my brakes.

You can easily find better options at half the price. Guys don't buy this cycle reasons
Why
Disk brakes are defective after 1 month
And mudgard is loosing in every week and their disk brake are creating so much noise after 1 month
BRO PLS DONT BUY this cycle
There must be oil in disk brakes. If only one drop of oil goes to disk brakes it creates a lot of noise and stop working.
You have to wash the disk plate with soap and change the brake pads to solve this problem.
And the problem with mudguards is common in every new cycle. I have also mentioned the same problem with mudguards in the video, if you have watched the full video.
I have also hero sprint monk and sadly they don't give mudguards with the cycle, you have to buy them separately. So don't feel sad these problems are common with all new cycle.
