Why is she evil or hated though, for killing people in times of war? The rulers before her killed way more, in fact it is surprising the only casualties are the people in a city. Cersei lied and never sent help with the army of the dead and then captured missandrei and executed her, among others. Missandrei's last word were literally 'burn everything'. Dany still hasn't tortured or killed any innocent with her own hands (Drogo was different). It could have been avoided of course; but then Jaimie would have safely led Cersei to safety, and many others would have still plotted to kill her. I feel sad for her, actually, and for the magic leaving westeros, though, subjugating people with fear/dragons is not the way to go either, but i cannot hate or judge Daenerys.

@@MadDunhill no, but i can understand the reasons behind it. I felt bad so many times in the show and disgusted, but not during this episode. The show has shown us or pointed at so much torture, rape and pillage that Daenerys rightfully bringing down a 'town of sins' as symbol for 'breaking the wheel' is almost like a prophetic scene, as opposed to everyone else who had a choice. Daenerys at that point in the show lost everything; Tyrion, Varys and JON self-fulfilled the prophecy/image of Dany they were afraid of, by trying to prevent it, they facilitated Dany's path to bitterness. Jon could have kept his mouth shut until after the war, but he acted out of feelings because sansa and arya were 'family', and then clearly refused to lay with her because incest. Varys tried to poison her out of fear, probably not thinking what will happen to Drogon, the unsullied and dothraki if they ever find out Dany was killed away from their eyes, or at least the show did not have time to give a meaning to it because it was rushed to only 6 episodes. This has nothing to do with my personal moral standards, but to how I understand this show works: Dany has never been a peaceful angel of light, and all characters are in for survival and revenge or atonement/whatever justice looks like in their eyes rather than 'ascending to some sort of Nirvana'. 'Come on, you don't judge her [...]?' No, i fucking don't just judge everything black and white, i'm not moronic enough to forget this is but a show and the story of a carefully built character that has lived through specific challenges and scenarios, such as being sold at 13 and raped, so pull your heads out of your asses already.

Bran has been manipulating the plotline the entire time. He knew exactly how the battle was going to end. He knew exactly how to kill the Night King, because he set the trap himself. While warging during the battle, he was likely manipulating events to lead to the final conclusion. Everything he has done has revolved around getting the dagger to Arya and getting her safely to the [Night King]. That plan was set in motion all the way back in season 1. Future Bran made sure that dagger was sent to kill his childhood self. He put the key piece in play…All of the ‘magical Lord of Light moments’ that are supposedly the God’s work are actually Bran manipulating the past, resurrecting people and making sure Arya got the knife and made it to kill [the Night King].

Seasons 5 and 6 weren't totally irredeemable, as only parts of the story were terrible (I am looking at you, Dorne.) Being a book reader, it might sound I am being high and mighty, but the TV show fucked up big time. Wasted potential.

It started when she was in Mereen and couldn't lead for shit. People overestimate her because she has dragons and ambitions but other than that, she has no true quality and her ambition quickly became an obsession.
Without dragons, Daenerys would be nothing and have died long ago. She is self-obsessed and thinks she's more moral than everyone else but is deluding herself. As the saying goes, lying is terrible but lying to yourself is even worse. Whereas other immoral characters have no pretensions of being moral, she lies to herself and says that she is, allowing her to justify doing terrible things like burning people alive and feeding them to her "children." Despite having quality advisers she still can't lead and is a train wreck. She is not fully evil, nor is she fully good or particularly more moral than most of the characters save for the worst ones, the latter of whom at least tend to be frank about who they are and not peddling self-delusions of "morality."

Yup. For me, seasons 1-6 were the best on TV despite some of the issues 5 and 6 had. But there is no doubt now that BB is the most complete/great from start to finish show ever.

The dragons I thought were unisex so they wouldn’t need a mate. I’ve never thought about that but maybe a Drogon really did lay some eggs or maybe Rhaegal and Viserion laid some while chained in that room.

Weird, I know George RR Martin said they were unisex, but I always thought you would still need two to mate. Like snails do it. They each have both genders and with mating it's just about who's faster and in a better position. However I once saw a documentary about some kind of salamander on a remote island that actually clones it's own DNA into it's eggs, so doesn't need to mate at all. I wonder which of those options Martin chose for his dragons 🤔💁

Just for budget reasons alone, they will be spending lots of money on the big battle for King's Landing and most of that will probably involve cgi, I don't think baby dragons are in the cards, really. Yet nobody killed Cersei for what she has done. It’s just asinine that Cersei could easily sit on the throne without facing backlash to her illegitimate rule. Daenerys is legitimately angry and hits the capital of the kingdom and suddenly she is “mad”, even though others before her have done the same and would do far worse if they had possession of her dragon and army.
The same for Bran's arc. Also i really hope Jaime lied to brienne to avoid her wanting to follow him. Because if he's for real they screwed completely jaime and also made pointless all his arc in season 7.

Jon S Jon is the rightful heir to the throne as he is the son of rhaegar, who was the first born son of the mad king. Succession goes through the first born son and his family first, and then the siblings of the first born son - Dany in this case. Dany’s claim to the throne is weaker than Jon’s. It’s like how prince William and his children are first in line to the throne and then its prince Harry and his children.

I liked the way she died... I mean, I'm sad her character is dead, but the whole shot with Ser Gregor Clegane's great sword and her last words, and the way it made Dany fume with rage - it was glorious, and tastefully done. Probably one of my favorite death scenes of the entire show.

Why is she evil or hated though, for killing people in times of war? The rulers before her killed way more, in fact it is surprising the only casualties are the people in a city. Cersei lied and never sent help with the army of the dead and then captured missandrei and executed her, among others. Missandrei's last word were literally 'burn everything'. Dany still hasn't tortured or killed any innocent with her own hands (Drogo was different). It could have been avoided of course; but then Jaimie would have safely led Cersei to safety, and many others would have still plotted to kill her. I feel sad for her, actually, and for the magic leaving westeros, though, subjugating people with fear/dragons is not the way to go either, but i cannot hate or judge Daenerys.

@@MadDunhill no, but i can understand the reasons behind it. I felt bad so many times in the show and disgusted, but not during this episode. The show has shown us or pointed at so much torture, rape and pillage that Daenerys rightfully bringing down a 'town of sins' as symbol for 'breaking the wheel' is almost like a prophetic scene, as opposed to everyone else who had a choice. Daenerys at that point in the show lost everything; Tyrion, Varys and JON self-fulfilled the prophecy/image of Dany they were afraid of, by trying to prevent it, they facilitated Dany's path to bitterness. Jon could have kept his mouth shut until after the war, but he acted out of feelings because sansa and arya were 'family', and then clearly refused to lay with her because incest. Varys tried to poison her out of fear, probably not thinking what will happen to Drogon, the unsullied and dothraki if they ever find out Dany was killed away from their eyes, or at least the show did not have time to give a meaning to it because it was rushed to only 6 episodes. This has nothing to do with my personal moral standards, but to how I understand this show works: Dany has never been a peaceful angel of light, and all characters are in for survival and revenge or atonement/whatever justice looks like in their eyes rather than 'ascending to some sort of Nirvana'. 'Come on, you don't judge her [...]?' No, i fucking don't just judge everything black and white, i'm not moronic enough to forget this is but a show and the story of a carefully built character that has lived through specific challenges and scenarios, such as being sold at 13 and raped, so pull your heads out of your asses already.

2. flying straight to the red keep and attack the innocent people cersei used as a meat shield to get to cersei.
3. torture cersei.
4. kill tyrion for failing her.
killing the people of kings landing makes no fucking sense. it's not revenge, those people aren't the ones who wronged her. it's literally the opposite of what she wants since alle she ever talks about is 1. getting the iron throne 2. getting rid of tyrants and making the world a better place for the commonfolk. it accomplished nothing but making sure she won't get the iron throne while also making her a tyrant in the process.

Bran has been manipulating the plotline the entire time. He knew exactly how the battle was going to end. He knew exactly how to kill the Night King, because he set the trap himself. While warging during the battle, he was likely manipulating events to lead to the final conclusion. Everything he has done has revolved around getting the dagger to Arya and getting her safely to the [Night King]. That plan was set in motion all the way back in season 1. Future Bran made sure that dagger was sent to kill his childhood self. He put the key piece in play…All of the ‘magical Lord of Light moments’ that are supposedly the God’s work are actually Bran manipulating the past, resurrecting people and making sure Arya got the knife and made it to kill [the Night King].
V TOOK MY V-CARD but bran can't see the future only the present and the past, and he is in the present not the future as there are no future timelines as became the three eyed raven in the present, however it does kinda make sense cos of the whole thing with hodor. Seasons 5 and 6 weren't totally irredeemable, as only parts of the story were terrible (I am looking at you, Dorne.) Being a book reader, it might sound I am being high and mighty, but the TV show fucked up big time. Wasted potential.

It started when she was in Mereen and couldn't lead for shit. People overestimate her because she has dragons and ambitions but other than that, she has no true quality and her ambition quickly became an obsession.
She was always like this. The only thing that has changed is that she's now going after people we know and care about, instead of evil slave owners.
Without dragons, Daenerys would be nothing and have died long ago. She is self-obsessed and thinks she's more moral than everyone else but is deluding herself. As the saying goes, lying is terrible but lying to yourself is even worse. Whereas other immoral characters have no pretensions of being moral, she lies to herself and says that she is, allowing her to justify doing terrible things like burning people alive and feeding them to her "children." Despite having quality advisers she still can't lead and is a train wreck. She is not fully evil, nor is she fully good or particularly more moral than most of the characters save for the worst ones, the latter of whom at least tend to be frank about who they are and not peddling self-delusions of "morality."

Weird, I know George RR Martin said they were unisex, but I always thought you would still need two to mate. Like snails do it. They each have both genders and with mating it's just about who's faster and in a better position. However I once saw a documentary about some kind of salamander on a remote island that actually clones it's own DNA into it's eggs, so doesn't need to mate at all. I wonder which of those options Martin chose for his dragons 🤔💁

Just for budget reasons alone, they will be spending lots of money on the big battle for King's Landing and most of that will probably involve cgi, I don't think baby dragons are in the cards, really. Jon S Jon is the rightful heir to the throne as he is the son of rhaegar, who was the first born son of the mad king. Succession goes through the first born son and his family first, and then the siblings of the first born son - Dany in this case. Dany’s claim to the throne is weaker than Jon’s.
It’s like how prince William and his children are first in line to the throne and then its prince Harry and his children.
Jon is older than Daenerys.
@@jons2022 Jon has the stronger claim because his father Rhaegar would've been king. Now with his father dead his children are next in line aka Jon. Once all of Rhaegars children are dead even female children then it would be Daenarys. It's just how it works.

I liked the way she died... I mean, I'm sad her character is dead, but the whole shot with Ser Gregor Clegane's great sword and her last words, and the way it made Dany fume with rage - it was glorious, and tastefully done. Probably one of my favorite death scenes of the entire show.
