That makes sense I guess, thanks for the reply. Also thanks for uploading the footage - great to see it.

Hi! The blue and orange D.H.Cars Services Minx at 2.16 and 2.41 was my sponsor Dave 'D.H.' Self, number 159, from Mitcham. Driving his 'trade mark' Rootes vehicle, he was a regular at Arlington. He is, sadly, no longer with us. Cheers, Jagmanchris211.

just a guess but I reckon the saloons raced clockwise as they are mainly right hand drive so the weight of the driver helps the handing round the bends and the driver also more protected when hitting the fence and with the single seater, centre steer cars it doesn't matter so they can go the other way just for a bit of variation and to stop us all going giddy...

Any idea why the saloons raced clockwise and the hot rods went anti clockwise?
And what the hell that '59 Chevy at 3.26 hit to bash it so badly? It wasn't something the size of an HA Viva!

Not got footage, but remember the name in the 70's when my Uncle used to take me to Arlington. Great times. :)
My Uncle also used to race around the country, but probably would have been late 60's rather than 70's. Maybe try contacting George Polley Motorsport (if he's still about) or Barry Lee? Hope you find some footage.
