Awesome, wonderful, great guy.. You will be missed. RIP and condolences to fellow family and friends. SK 🎙Ira
Beautiful tribute Josh. Well done! He was such a wonderful blessing to the hobby and all mankind. 73 Bob. Hope to work you on the other side.❤
I can think of few who left such a legacy behind in this world and in the hobbies he loved. May his memory continue to warm the hearts of all who knew or knew of him. Godspeed Dr. Heil, 73’s until we meet again!
RIP Bob, you will be missed.
This one really hurts. He was so genuine. One time recently I asked when Joe Walsh was on the air. He gave me frequencies and day/times. He did not have to do that, but that is the kind of man Dr. Heil was.
Such a huge part of the community, he will be severely missed.
RIP, Bob……..glad I was able to meet you at Hara Arena years ago ! You made an indelible impression on so many !
Excellent tribute to a legend of a man! Well done Josh!
Great tribute. Rest in Peace Bob.
Beautiful tribute. Bob's organ music seals the video.

Fantastic tribute, Dr. Bob Heil will be SORELY missed!😢
Thanks for this remembrance of Bob Heil. He will be missed and long remembered for his contributions to ham radio and music. I will remember his enthusiasm and his ability to put together and support the Ham Nation team and to inform and support our hobby. Thanks, Bob and RIP.
Used to hear him on low band AM rag chewing fairly often. A real gentleman for sure and very bright. RIP Bob
The great thing about our shared hobby of radio is knowing that our transmissions will propagate for a long time in the universe. Bob’s contribution will make us sound better and his own TX will shine brighter than most of us.
Such sad news. When I first got into amateur radio, Bob was still a regular fixture on Ham Nation. I've missed him being on the show. RIP bob. We'll remember his contributions every time someone mentions they're using a HEIL microphone.
RIP Bob. 73s M7GTX 😢
Hey Josh, that was a wonderful tribute. Bob will be missed.

NN1Q here... Bob was a great pillar in this community and I'm so sad his key is silent now. Somehow, I know, listening to those 80M crashes of static on warm summer nights, his voice is still ringing out there...somewhere. 73 sir.
Excellent tribute Josh, thank you for sharing!

As a musician, I already loved Heil before getting into ham radio. Sad to hear. Thank you for everything, your memory will be fondly held by us all.
I can't believe this! I just saw him at winterfest here in St Louis.
Oh no, this cannot be so. I met Bob and Joe at a Collins Radio Colllectors Association dinner at Dayton, some years ago. Wonderful man. Thank you for the tribute, Josh. N9RJX
Very nice. He changed our hobby for the better and changed rock and roll. He lived a full life. He will be missed.
Josh, Thanks, Jay, KB0TS
Bob's legacy will live on for a very long time. What a legend. 73 OM, we'll miss ya.
Bought a TS-480SAT of his several years ago...
Wish I still had it!
The most famous contact I have in my logbook, Bob Heil answered my CQ some years back. I almost fell off my chair. I hadn’t realized he passed. Very sorry to hear the news.
Thought I’d mention that I was wearing his earphones at the time too. Mentioned that to him and he was pleased.
Rip Robert G Heil, you will be missed
He was a good friend!
A sad day. I met Bob briefly at Dayton some years back. He was busy, but not to busy to take a few minutes talking about ham radio. He and I were first licensed the same year.
Sad news. Condolences to the family.
Great video. I had the privilege of hearing Bob play the organ in Visalia at the DX Convention a few years ago. I will always remember that. 73 de KF6LU
Nicely done, Josh.
Bob, I'm so glad I got to meet you at dayton hamvention 2019 for the first time. Thank you for taking the time to take a photo with me. You were very polite and alive with sound. Thank you for everything you have done for the hobby. DE N8QDV
We are sure gonna miss him Josh. A true pioneer of our hobby. I have a lot of his products. ❤❤
God bless Bob. You will be missed and remembered.
Thank you for this wonderful tribute to a great man who was everyone’s Elmer. RIP Dr Bob and 73
....kind of sad to see him go.
I kind of just tuned out of watching hamnation years ago, because of the annoying ad breaks for "ping" or whichever.
....kind of feeling nostalgic now, especially because sponsorblock and such, are kind of a saving grace these days.
Anyway; rest in peace bob, you'll be missed.
Rest easy Dr. Bob. Thank you for so many contributions to Live Music and Ham Radio. So very sad.
Great Tribute. Bob will be missed
Thanks. An incredibly sad day.
He did so much for ham radio and rock and roll.

Awe man, Bob's a true legend!
I met him in Utah some years ago. Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly.
Just found out about this, so sad to find that this great inventor and a great Ham is not with us. What else can one say that hasn't been said.🥺😢
Great tribute Josh. Thank you.
❤
May your rest in peace I’ve only seen a couple videos with him in it and live streams, but he seemed to be a great individual. I can only hope this someday on a set of Heil headphones.
